    I can earn an extra $6/ day in hazard pay if I get sent to some super sketchy countries. Wanna tell them to keep the money and instead find me someone named Tony that can supply anything.

    It is UPS’ policy to fuck shit up. Apparently the first few hops didn’t break anything so they had to re-route. The delay is b/c Evan is on vacation. They bring him in on the difficult jobs.

    Box #2 of 2 sets of self adjusting drum brakes for my travel trailer cause it's a PITA to jack it up and adjust them every year. At least I got one of the boxes, so I can have brakes on one of my axles. I guess 2 out of 4 wheels having brakes is enough, right?

    Had an interesting (annoying and potentially dangerous) vehicle related failure on the way home from work tonight. I have my ditch lights wired up via a remote. I didn't feel like feeding wires through the firewall and having a remote is also very convenient for driving at night instead of having to reach for a switch. It has worked 100% flawless since I installed it however long ago that was. Tonight on the way home instead of taking the highway like how I usually do I drove through town. I'm sitting at a stoplight and all sudden I see the world fucking strobing like crazy and for like a second and a half I was like what is flashing so much and then it hit me it was my damn ditch lights. I quick panic and grab the remote and hit off and they shut off like they're supposed to. Made me look like such a dildo doing that at a stoplight with people coming. I was going to chalk it up to a freak accident like maybe someone just happened to use some sort of remote nearby that worked on the same frequency. I got home parked my truck doing my daily routine after work and all of a sudden I see flashing outside. The damn thing was going off again with the truck shut off and me in the house. Needless to say I went out and removed the wire from the battery so there's no chance of it turning back on and it's definitely going to get junked. I didn't plan on spending any money on my truck besides getting the new tires mounted but oh well I want to be able to use my ditch lights....

    That’s nothing. If I work more than 8hrs a day I get my hourly rate +$6.50 for OT! And if work too much OT I might get encouraged to take comp time instead. And travel off-shift or weekends isn’t paid. Put that in your pipe and smoke it (cuz you be getting real OT and can afford it).

    I'll tell what regarding the whole remote crap stuff; technology is great... but it's bad enough when mechanical shit fails, and now you've got to worry about some non-OE connection failing on you also. I stay away from that stuff for a reason...
