Welcome from CO. I got bumped off a C-141 Starlifter MAC flight at Anderson AFB while on leave at Cubi Point NAS, in the Philippines and was stuck in Guam for three days in 1980. I remember hitchhiking to Agana. A preacher picked me up. I had him drop me off at a bar. heh heh. I was finally able to catch a ride on a Navy antisub P-3 Orion to Hickam AFB in Hawaii, then C-5 Galaxy to Travis AFB. Going to be a lot of Marines stationed there in Guam eventually after moving out from Okinawa and Japanese mainland. (Maybe a lot already there) Thinkin there are not a lot of Tundras on Guam. Nice truck. You need to post some "Tundra 4 wheeling in Guam" pics when you get a chance. I know there is a lot of left behind US/Japanese WWII stuff scattered around underbrush all over the island. Use to be anyways.

I did go scuba diving the second day. Checked out dive gear from special services at the Navy sub base near Agana. Excellent diving. Okinawa is also fantastic place to dive. Crazy good. The squid (Navy) I went diving with got me on the hop to Hickam. He was a submariner based out of Hawaii. His wife was about to give birth so he was able to get off his sub for a few days of leave to catch a ride and kissed some ass to get me on board the same flight. Very cool. I was down to maybe $20. No ATM's back then.
