    I have a 2017 Tundra Crew Cab Platinum 4x4. What I am looking for is to find out if there is an aftermarket option that I can buy where it will replace the rails on the drivers seat that would all the drivers seat to slide further back than the factory has it. I am very tall and wanted to be able to have it where the seat goes another 3-4 inches back. I rarely if ever have anyone sitting behind me when I drive. Thanks for any suggestions...

    I'm 6'5" but my height is in my legs more than the torso.

    I have the opposite problem. I'm also 6'5" but more in my torso, so the seat backs in most cars don't come up high enough; i.e, dig into my shoulders, useless head rests. I wish my legs were longer, but I guess there are issues either way.

    Does your Platinum have the telescoping steering wheel? Just curious if you are able to push the seat back, would the wheel be at a comfotable place for you still.

    Yes it has the telescoping steering wheel and I have it going all the way forward. My issue is mainly the leg length space. On long drives, my feet are just aching like no other, especially the heel of the foot. I know in the Silverado (collective gasp I know) that owned back before Chevy screwed them up, I never had this problem. It was a 2011 Crew LTZ. I know the new Tundras are even worse. It's like they took my Tundra and reprinted it at 80% size. I got in one for a test drive and it was like practicing yoga positions to get in and out of it. I didn't even drive it. Lately I have been pondering on picking up a used 2011 Silverado, they are selling for less that 10k it seems and slapping a brand new engine and transmission into it and going with that. It's becoming that aggravating to me on the Tundra I have sadly.

    That just raises the seat up, that's not the problem. It's also not a positioning in the seat issue, it's the leg room length that's the problem.

    And if your dad has used a condom all those years ago, it would be a slightly better world in the manner of one less idiot to deal with. That's you in case you didn't realize it.

    Please don't get triggered or butthurt by my comment;
    The raising of the front seat moves your knees up and creates more legroom.
    I used to put my seat all the back, but now with the SEAT JACKERS and my knees up a little, I don't need the seat back as far and my knee position is more comfortable.
    YMMV

    Hahaha lurch! I honestly have a hard time believing that someone under 7ft tall can't sit comfortably in a Tundra. Most people drive with terrible posture and poor positioning for actual evasive driving needs. Having taken a week long emergency vehicle operation training, you'd be surprised how close you should actually be sitting in a ford explorer when driving compared to how close you would if you were trying to look gangsta laying the seat into the back seat. There are guys driving race cars over 6ft, never mind a full size pickup truck. Now if you're Shaq, I get it but 6'5 in a Tundra you can fit no problem. You should be able to fully depress your foot on the dead space where a clutch would be from your seating position. The elimination of the clutch has made people think its okay to sit way too far back, if you were 6'5 and a Tundra had a clutch, no way are you pressing that clutch all the way to the floorboard with the seat in the furthest back position. I too am guilty of this lately since this is the first vehicle I have had without a clutch, I find myself push further backwards for comfort but its definitely not proper driving position.

    Speakers, amp, subs, floorboard lights...and the little step thing under the bumper
    Seat jackers is a valid suggestion. They raise just the front of the seat, so lets it recline farther back (so knees bent more, more leg room) I'm just average height, so don't have your issue, but do have sciatic nerve issues that they resolved. And they do make the truck feel roomier and more comfortable. At the worst for you, it's a cheap experiment to try them.

    I’m 6’8” pretty evenly spread between torso and leg and will say 2018 Chevy 2500 we use at work sits way lower than my tundra. Leg room I’m happy with in the DC but my eye level is cut off 2/3 of the way up by the roof line. Seat jack would only make this worse I assume. Thought about taking off seat brackets and doing a custom fab to lower 2” or so but have found no one who has successfully done this online and I’m a glass man by trade, not metal worker.

    Seat jackers don't raise your backside. They just lift the front edge of the seat up a little. It wouldn't cause any eye level issues.
