I'm just a simple unfrozen caveman Tundra owner. I don't know the ways of your sophisticated remote starter sorcery, but I have installed a basic remote lock/unlock system. It's a super simple: one 12v +, one ground, one wire for lock, one for unlock. I wonder if you'd have better luck removing the OEM keyless module altogether, then you won't have the two systems working against each other.

Yes i have the same remote start you do. Im holding that programming sheet on my hand lol. Ok heres where i am so far.. i wired the relay in the drivers door just like the diagram shows with the two diodes .. all this relay does is control the safety lock wire on/off.. the vehicle module needs to see safety wire opening and closing too or wont work (red yellow stripe) open when you lock and close when you unlock. But wiring my remote start lock/unlock wires directly to the relay dont send enough ground signal to trip the relay. I tried reprogramming the viper to increase the signal time and still doesnt work but if i grab those lock/unlock wires from the relay and tounch the vehicle ground .. the power locks works on off and doors lock unlock beautifully.. so i might need to get a smaller relay smaller coil and a resistor on the 12v positive to relay or buy the $15 module. Im using positve from the blue wire off of the door control maybe i switch that positive to the remote start output pin between lock and unlock maybe that will make the relay work. Havent had more time to play with it.

the 2004 tundra and above have a safety wire that has to be switched open/close too simultaneously with lock/unlock..you have to trick the computer with a relay

Im cant wait to try switching the relay postive input (86) from the blue wire pictured in my previous post.. to the middle pin of the lock unlock harness in the remote start i think i will work. See picute below.

Looking forward to your experiments. Where are you grounding the relay? When I looked into this prior, it was suggested to use the ground wire in the wire harness. Going to a bolt in the door itself was not recommended as it doesn't provide as good a ground due to the door hinges.

Ok so what i found is my relay was good! My wiring was all good but i mustve shorted the lock and unlock wires while probing and connecting them directly to the wires of my OEM keyless entry because thats what i did first i just connected to the two wires on there. And so the signals was very weak like unlock was like 8 volts max negative pulse and lock 3 volts negative pulse not enough to trip the relay. So i opened up the viper 4105v and checked the board specially the unlock and lock pins and found the tiny soldered fuses blown i just soldered a wire bridges and put two fuses externally. And boula!! Power locks work like a charm adjusted the signal to the third option works best allows the double click to open all doors faster. Check those fuses and wire your relay like the diagram and it will work. Ohh and my oem keyless entry also works. Can use either or.

You dont ground the relay, you power it with a fuse positive. The ground is the lock signal from the remote start that then magnetize the coil and opens the safety wire circuit when you hit lock button. It is normally closed when you hit unlock button.. on and off the safety wire goes thru the 87 pins as you lock and unlock. Just wire just like this diagram and if it doesnt work check the fuses in the viper inside the box

ELI5. What do you mean with adjusted signal to the third option? Thanks!

I meant in the viper programming menu you have tree choices for the duration of the outputs unlock and unlock pulse in seconds i found that the third option wich is 0.4 seconds worked best is the shortest time

Just wire the relay like this diagram and dont hook it to the viper wires green and blue lock/unlock just yet.. and test the relay by grounding one wire at a time should
Lock and unlock your powerlocks if your relay done right. You ground the one B wire it locks and you ground the C wire it unlocks. Then connect it to the viper if it doest work is your fuses

Excellent. Time to get to looking for my relays. Did you end up wiring the 12+ for the relay pin 86 using that middle pin on the Viper or did you just tie it into the 12V+ at the door lock switch wiring harness?

i used the power from the fat blue wire at the door no need for fuse already fused is the easiest way.

I even changed my relay .. tried on a smaller micro one wasnt it .. wouldnt work either.. we now know my problem was weak ground from the alarm but i left the small relay there already soldered sure the big one i had will now work to

One last question then I'll stop. When I wired in my relay, I didn't cut the wires like you did. I merely stripped a portion and attached my relay wires to them leaving the original wires intact otherwise. I see that you have cut the wires cleanly. The red/yellow shows cut in the diagram and that one I did cut but the other two I only spliced in. Do I need to cut like you and wire on the connector side then? Again, sorry. I'm newb with wiring. Still working on trying to figure it out. You've already provided a ton of info. Thanks again.

i like cutting them because i always solder and to be able to slide a heat shrink tube over the connection i have to cut clean but yes just slicing and T will work the only one you must cut like you said is the red yellow and put each end on the relay. Ask all you want no problem

Here is a pic of the door.. the hardest part is running the two wires thru that harness boot to the kick panel for lock and unlock
