Sorry I'm not much help to you on this-- I've just been buying random organizers on Amazon to help me see what I've got, what I'm missing.

I do have a few of these and I like 'em because it's convenient for taking what I need when I go on trail runs. I like that the colours are all the same for each driver size-- again, easy to see what I have/ don't have, and to grab and go in a hurry.

Kinda see a segue here, though, for me to remind you:

Please give us an update if you discover that source north of you having a sale on gently used Mountain boxed end wrenches. Those have been in my wish list since you mentioned them last year.

I like Tekton organizers for sockets. But they aren’t cheap.

I have a ton of the rollup bags, they worked great for transport but I still need to prep a bin I can take for wheeling with tools.

I have some pegboard organizers, they aren’t bad, but I don’t love any of them. Drawer is nicer I think.

I love my Pixel 7 Pro. I paid more for just the phone.

How's the service with Mint Mobile?

I've been using it for 5 years now with not too many service issues and it's dirt cheap. I'm on wifi most of the time so I think I pay right about $200 for a year of service for the 5GB/month plan.

Looks like he caught some gravel from the edge of the road. That kinda stuff is all over on the curvy mountain roads up here.

I think it was mainly his speed. If you watch again he stood no chance of making it through that curve at the rate he was going. That's what gets most people on The Dragon.

When I had my GSX-R in college we used to do big group rides of 10 or more. We would ride some mild open road stuff and a little background twisty stuff. Someone crashed pretty much everytime. It’s the mix of skill levels that gets most of them. They try to ride beyond their skill level. Guilty of that myself occasionally. You get lucky and make it sometimes, or it bites you. These are not groomed racetracks either. Trash in the roads, gravel, loose grass, large cracks, pot holes, root swells, dips from where a tree was taken down to make the road and the ground beneath keeps sinking as the tree roots rot away beneath it. No big deal in a car. Very manageable on a bike at normal speeds. When you start pushing, shit gets sideways. Crazy how one minute these guys are hauling ass around all these blind corners with reckless abandon, next minute they are pushing a dead machine up into the road way between two blind corners with no concern. Lotta dumb happening in these videos.

New Sufjan Stevens album is out. Not bad from one listen. Makes me realize just how good his Carrie & Lowell album is though. Baby was due any day and wife felt like crap so we missed that show when he came through Houston; gave the tickets to our friends and when I asked my buddy how it was the next day, he just got quiet and said….”man….it was real good.” Bastard!

And that is a big problem. People in rural areas have gravel driveways that wash out every time it rains. I see that a lot on the other popular road, the Devils Triangle.

Slipped out or lowsided it going too fast into that sharp corner. That one looks a bit abrupt, not a sweeping corner.

Watched the video again. Guy took a bad line. Also looks like he grabbed a handful of front brake at the last minute.

I think you may be right on front brake. I just looked again, and you can see the front end dip and kick at the last second before he goes down.

I've never ridden crotchrockets, nor like this though, so FTR, I'm not a voice of reason on this one.

Hidden falls was good stuff. No major damage, everyone got along with everyone. No land rovers were broke down on the trail. A weekends worth of hangovers is about to cash themselves in.

I finally found the RAV4 wheels I've been looking at for 2 years at a price I could justify. $220 but I had to drive an hour each way to get them. Worth it. They are in ~90% condition. These will replace the old steel wheels that are rusting around the lug nuts.

    PXL_20231015_181013360.jpg

I had to go out into the sticks to get them.

That’s why when I came across a free extra set of starfish wheels, I jumped on it. Just to have a real spare and 3 extras. I’m sure one day I’ll pop a curb or something. For now, they’ll just set on the bench awaiting a starter to get injured.

I was outside playing with the kids and noticed the shadows. I was like “huh, that’s weird”. Then my wife came out and was like “why is it getting darker, there are no clouds?”. I was like “I dunno, because it’s fall now?” I too, completely missed it.
