What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

I'm wondering if you could install PPF over the Cerakote.

Don't know why I didn't think of this before. Can run the hot tails late at night now without worrying.

 

What was there to worry about? Or was yours the Extreme kit.....

 

I'm guessing that you likely could put PPF on the Cerakote. It is perfectly dry to touch once cured.

 

Not the extreme kit but I was getting flashed from behind way too often even with the 3d printed covers. I drive after midnight a lot.

Now it's like stock plus a fair bit. Out of the box just the low setting is close to the factory brake light brightness

 

Stopped by to see my car audio guy about my remote start not working. Ended up ordering a new JL Audio VX800 amplifier and Audison Thesis 3 ways.

Truck sounded good with the hertz Millie’s in there, but this will take it to a whole new level

indeed he is. I’ve been a car stereo junkie since the 90’s. Went to lots of car stereo competitions back in the day

I was into a little as well. We had a few competition events a year around here in the 90's. My 1st car was a 68 vw bug, removed the back seat and built a box with 2 lanzar 15's. Ah, the good ole days.

 

My installer has been around since the early 90s and still going.

Added a front camera to the Bifmobile using a shim designed by @RainMan_PNW .

 

Installed black Sequoia interior door handles all around. Need two of each in the pic to make it work.

Entire project took under an hr. Use trim tool or something similar to pull any tabs left in the door. Makes life much easier. Tweeter plugs were a little difficult to pop. Take your time.

Replaced the door handles and now im down a rabbit hole shopping for everything else, lol.

Shout out to @DrBones for one sick interior. Question for the group. With a red truck, are red seats (not the accent pieces) too much? (See quote below). Would you go black leather and keep accents with a red truck or keep everything red?

 

I'm sure you were around for the days of the original Fosgate 45 Punch amps; we'd run 2 of those in an 'under 100 watts' class....

 

I wonder how many of us are running 'RainMan Design' shims in our rigs???

I ran 5 soundstream class a amps….4 3.0 and a 6.0 and was rated at 150 watts….pushing close to 800 actual. Owned the 1-150 power class!

 

Wash inside the garage and then Squeegee the garage.
