    Hi guys,

I have a 2024 Tundra with 5ft5 bed. Where do I get a good cover for my bed? preferred a good/trusted vendor. Do I need to bring it to the shop or dealer to install it?

    Thanks.

Congrats on the new wheels and welcome to the site!
Well for the bed cover it all depends on what kind of style you want for your cover and as for the install, that also depends on your personal capabilities.

I’d like something that not vinyl and can slide. I saw it was on a customer’s Tundra at dealership but when I checked with dealership they said they don’t have and mentioned it’s aftermarket.

This a Gator it's pretty solid and lockable but nothing is tamper free, and I'll be honest it rattles like fuck but I'm stuck with it.
I will line the inner channel rails when I get some free time.
There are a ton out there to choose from and the are some MFG'S Here that sponsor good one's so look for a discount & good hunting.

Been using the BAK Revolver 4XS for a couple of months so far. Highly recommended if you like the roll up style.

I second the Revolver. It functions and looks quite good. After some minor weatherstripping additions at top of tailgate it is leak proof in rain. I bought it on Amazon. Not a hard install. Did it solo in about an hour

Bak MX4. Great fit, seal and hardware. Installed myself in 90 mins. Lets you keep your OEM sliding side rails. Removes totally in minutes but rarely needed because it stands up for full access or can be used 2/3rds open.

    Nothing yet, brand new.
    RetraxOne XR
I have been more than pleased with this addition to my truck. Quality is very good. Each time I see another bed cover, I am glad I went with the RetraxOne XR. Install was a breeze, had my dad as a set of hands to lift into place and that’s all the help you need. Purchased it from RealTruck and financed through affirm. Mentioned that I saw a discount on a Toyota forum and the retailer totaled my order out for $1,350ish. It was under $1,400, which is a several hundred dollar discount. I had trouble pulling the trigger because of the price, but glad I did. Recently took it for a 8.5 hr road trip and had no water leakage other than minor dripping at the tailgate (which is standard).

Any chance you can tell me how far the roll sits from the back bed of the truck when it's rolled up? I'm planning to get this cover, but trying to figure out how to make my bike mounts work. I think I have a solution, but need to know that measurement. I emailed bak, but didn't get a reply....

    Lots of stuff!
Diamondback with bike carriers on the old Ridgeline.

I still have to add the bike carriers to the new cover that I got for the Tundra.

    upload_2023-10-17_8-17-18.jpg

We currently have two 50 lbs 12' Kayaks on the rack. Diamondback is a good solution if you want to carry stuff on-top of it. (The kayaks look short on the longer bed :)).

I am going to run some cross bars out past the kayak rack to mount the bike carriers. The Diamondback cover is great for adding all sort of things to it.

I have had my WeatherTech Hard Allow Cover for over a year. Keeps bed very dry, no tubes or drains. Folds twice, but not up against cab like others, but removes easily. Im satisfied. Figured Id give my feedback, not many have picked this cover so I figured Id stand up for it.

+1 on the Bak Revolver. I had one for 6 years on my F150, and the one I’m putting on my Tundra is sitting on the garage floor waiting for me. No cover is rain proof, but this one is pretty good. You might get a little bit come in on the corners, but that’s about it. Rattling is minimal with the rear window open. Best thing is it doesn’t have a big box taking up space on the inside like the retractable ones, and when you roll it all the way up, it doesn’t block your view out the back like the foldup ones. And Bak support is great. When I got mine, the warranty was much shorter. But they replaced the straps and one of the seals after the warranty at no cost and without me having to ask. The previous gen straps had more fragile latches - much better design with the X4S. I told them I thought it was still under warranty (and I did), and they said we’ll send them to you at no charge. No hassle. Installation is easy.

I'll second the RetraxOne XR. It is not cheap, but well worth the $$$$ in my opinion. I have been very pleased with mine so far. Give @SantanaRealtruck a shout when it comes time to order a cover.

Ended up with Bak MX4 on 23 Platinum short bed because they could ship overnight and we were leaving town due to family medical emergency. It looks, fits well and stayed dry during 4K round trip. Wanted the Lomax tri fold(same as Weather Tech alloy) but it was a 7 day delivery. Agree with Kilocharlie 106, post 18, had one on my 2019 Superduty and it never leaked, no drain tubes needed and you could remove it in about 45 seconds if you needed your full bed. MX4 was $1149, plus tax, about average for hard tri fold cover.

Hijacking this thread ever so slightly, isn’t the Bakflip MX4 the same as the factory tonneau cover? If so, does it suffer the some risk of coming off?

Yes. Same company that makes 75% of all covers. 6K mi on the MX4 and it hasn’t budged or loosened. 7” of rain since install and no leaks except a little in the corners at the tailgate. I have the bed mat so water goes out the back or under the mat. Great cover.
