Installing my Anytime Front Camera harness and as I was reinstalling the Headunit I came across this cable. I'm assuming it was not connected because I can't find any socket that matches this plug.

Do you have built in navigation? Looks like a coax to me.

There is a lot of extra length of this cable bundled up under the dash behind headunit and the goes into the back/center of the dash. Tried to get a good picture of where it goes. Below pics show all bundled up behind the head unit and where it's going to the back center of dash.

I'm guessing your Pro has JBL.

    upload_2023-10-7_15-32-21.png

    J152 is the antenna
    J153 is satalite radio
J154 I think is the navigation

But your connector has rounded bottom corners.

Must be for an accessory your Pro doesn't have??
I agree with @Retired...finally that is does look like a shielded coax.

Maybe for a glass breakage sensor?

That certainly looks like an aftermarket GPS antenna.

Check the build link in my signature.
    That is aftermarket
Factory doesn’t use zip ties or have extra lengths of cable looped up like that
It is likely for aftermarket GPS or SiriusXM associated with a previous non factory HU. Your TRD Pro CrewMax will have factory JBL stereo, and the factory GPS antenna is white with a half-circle bottom, while factory XM antenna is black but the same shape (J154 is the XM).

J152 isn’t used on the 2020/21 trucks any more.

Hi George, I’m not sure what that wire would be. Because when my installer did my audio install everything was done from under the passenger seat without removing the headunit. When he took my system out he did not have to remove the headunit to disconnect anything.

Yeah, I knew that Don hadn't done any work o. The headunit or dash. Must just be a gift from the plant. I later noticed a strip of tape on the top of the head unit. I'm thinking it had been taped down there. No clue what is was for, but definitely from the manufacturer based on where it went into a molded plastic pod at the very back of the dash. I was thinking maybe rain sensor but someone else mention glass break detection???? Oh well, I never found anything it could plug into, so I carried on. Spent most of day working on the truck today and didn't really finish anything I started, lol.

Front camera mounting is going to take a little work to make a couple parts so hopefully I finish that tomorrow. Camera is functional, but like some others have mentioned, the reverse override does not work.
