Shit sucks - I'm glad I live far from this sort of stuff.
Never fun watching, hope for as minimum issue as possible.

Friends of mine on the coast said they're predicting the water to surge 6'-12'! Prayers for all those who will be affected by this storm. I wish I would have done the rear diff breather kit for high water.

That's how I felt when we had the great flood of 16 in Louisiana. Surprisingly enough, even after going through water up to my headlights, haven't had any problems. Gotta love tundras!

Still doing the rear diff breather soon!

We have a large calibration lab in Houston. They've shut down already and shipped out a bunch items. Battening down the hatches. The lab is next to a bridge which tells me the lab may not fare too well. Time to bug out if I were there.

If it rains a lot I'm taking the Tundra and Jeep off roading. I guess time will tell how Texas is affected. When I was an independent insurance consultant I made big money from Ike hitting Houston.

Sorry to hear that. Prayers sent to you and all those in the path of this hurricane. Make sure and take pics or video of all your stuff before hand if you can. It's good to have proof of your home and contents before an insurance claim.

What is the refinery rated at storm wise?

I always thought it would be awesome to operate a refinery.

Brother lives in Rockport........bullseye right now. Left his house this morning. He's riding it out a little north of Austin. Sittin' in the backyard of a friend's house right now, sippin' suds.

I'm guessing that I'll be grabbing my chainsaw, etc. and heading to Rockport midweek to help with the cleanup.

It can handle the winds. It's flying debris that is our problem. You get a piece of scrap metal flying at 125 mph and hitting something full of product it's not good. We're shut down to prevent that from happening but it's still scary here. im just worried about my truck and my house. Last I heard the roof was starting to come off.

My unit was already told to have our 72 hour bags ready to go just in case we get activated by the Governor to go help. So, we are ready to go if & when we get the call.
