What is the magical burping method y’all use after changing a radiator? I’ve worked on Toyota fork lifts and they use to have a bleeder off the water pump to help with this. Just changed mine and it sure doesn’t seem to be circulating any coolant into the block.

Got any ramps? Drive the front tires onto ramps, pop the radiator cap and run the truck for a little bit

Keep the heat on full-blast too, so you don't get air trapped at the heater core etc.

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately I got called out to work so the burping has been out on hold for a few hours.

Whelp. I got the steering wheel controls "working." LOL. I got them wired up same as another member mentioned here using the ASWC-1 interface and they are all kinds of whacky. None of them work as what they are labeled. I'll need to do some reprogramming somewhere. Lol. They are backlit green. Nice.

What'd the controls come out of? I take it Sienna, given the backlight color...

Is it only the right-hand that's not working properly, or is it left and right controls not working?

The controls themselves IIRC are simply resistive; Only sending signal across one or two wires, and modulating out a different impedance based on the button pressed. ASWC-1 will let you adjust what frequency does what ... but it usually automatically gets it right.

I ordered the buttons from AliExpress. The cover from the sienna I got on eBay. Neither side works properly.

Honestly, the issue may just be that you got the buttons from AliExpress. I hate to say that ...

Just for diagnostic purposes, do you want me to send you a spare set of well-used dark grey left-hand controls I have out of a 4Runner?

If I were you, I would remove the ribbon cable to test with only the left-hand controls and get back to basics, in case the bridge is causing interference.

You may need to read the ASWC-1 instructions to forcibly reset it, then give it a chance to re-learn using the standard learning process described when you RTFM.
