My truck came with a set of rock warrior wheels. I'm aware there's a level of demand for these. These do look good, but I would rather have the money these are worth into something else like other gear or another tattoo.

    So, my questions are:

    1) Are there any performance benefits in a set of Rock Warrior wheels over a set of OEM 18" steel wheels?

    2) I have 30K miles on my truck, bought it with 2.5k. I don't do a ton of offroading, it has been 99% highway miles, everything I have done is fairly mild by most peoples standards. Are my Rock Warriors worth anything? Don't have any scrapes gouges or major damage that I can tell.

If you aren't off-roading a ton then you don't really need the extra sidewall that 17s provide, and 18s provide a comfortable-enough ride in my opinion.

Also, yes, your Rock Warrior wheels are definitely worth something, especially if they're in good shape!

A few... Definitely more than 2
Rock Warrior wheels are, I believe, the lightest wheel that Toyota ever produced for the 5x150 bolt pattern if that kinda of thing matters to you. Also it used to be much cheaper and easier to find tires for a 17" wheel. I don't know that is is totally true anymore since all the major OEMs put 18" wheels on their pickups so the market for rubber for 18s has significantly expanded.

18's are still cheaper than 20's if that is any consolation.

That is kinda what I was thinking as well. Buddy of mine has the same truck and has the 18" steel. Held up over the past 80k miles from south Florida to Idaho, Alaska, hunting fishing you name it. He offroads more than I do. Not full on rock crawling moab type stuff, but enough to severely damage and dent his factory skid plate on rocks and stuff. I want to do more than I do now but nothing that would require a lift or probably a winch. Just hunting trails, some overlanding/camping and other fun stuff I can do with a more or less stock 4x4 truck. Hopefully some milder OHV trails too. Not the simple dirt or gravel road ones, I don't consider those really offroad. If those wheels work for him durability wise they will for me too.

I'll upload some pics, not sure what to ask for them so help with appraisal would be great. All I know is I can get stock 18" wheels for almost nothing locally.

Well, not in quite as good a shape as I thought. Some tiny chips in the finish on the faux locking ring, TRD lettering pretty faded. Other than that they look ok. Meh. Still think they could be worth something or no? I'd consider selling if I net a grand or so but for 5-600 ehhh not really worth the effort

Without pictures its hard to say. But I'd think they should be worth at least 1k. You can always list them for the price you want and if you get someone actually interested, you make the change. If you only get lowball offers, keep using them yourself.

Ultimately decided to keep the RWs because I realized the weight savings helps keep me under GVWR and GCWR. Not a lot but it helps.
