Any entune hacks/mods?

Just wondering the latest on and hacks or mods..using back up camera anytime, install more apps, play dvd's etc.

 

Only thing I heard of and done was putting images in for the startup Nd shutoff screens.

 

Can anyone tell me how to get the weather and traffic to work on my 15' sr5 cm radio? I get the "this service is not available" message. I don't have a limited edition cm, so the entune app is not compatible with my truck.

 

Not sure but do you need to download the app to your phone for those features to work. That's what I did and mine works and it's not a limited.

 

This feature uses your phone. Do you have a smart phone?

 

Yes, it's synced with the truck!

 

Oh and I'm in North Carolina

 

Not sure what your problem would be then. As soon as I synced my phone to my truck it worked.

 

I had the same issue. Easy fix. You also have to download the Entune app on your phone and make sure it is connected (running) then it should work.

 

Local Toyota dealer says I can't get the hdweather, because no local radio station broadcasts a HD signal.....

 

I have a 2015 CM SR5 TRD. I downloaded the entune app. But when I tried to register it requires your VIN which says mine does not qualify for this feature...

I ran into the same issue. The dealer said it is because I don't have the "Entune Plus" system. Just the basic Entune.

 

No more mods?? I wish we could put different apps on entune

 

Were you ever able to register your vin number with entunes? Ours is saying the same thing.

 

No I gave up after trying it a few times and it not working. Not sure if it's just a limited/platinum feature and not SR5.??

 

I believe you have to have the top of the line stereo with navigation for it to qualify..

 

How long after vehicle purchase did you try to register?

 

It was probably around 2 months after purchase.

 

Try it again. I've had times where if the truck was very new it didn't take. I'm assuming you're trying it on the app?
Also try on the website my entune.com. Log in and change vehicle settings to add vin.

 

I just contacted toyota service and my vehicle does not qualify being eligible for entune but I stream Pandora through Bluetooth anyways.

 

If you don't qualify for the suite apps, it's because you do not have the upgraded radio system, sucks cause I think I'd have liked it, but now I'm thinking the android Tesla radio... look it up!

 

Have you turned HD radio on and scanned for stations?
...though Canadian trucks won't work (even if in the US) so if you bought a second hand truck check the VIN number to see if it is a Cdn or USA model.

 

Finished hooking up a rear cab (by third brake light) camera so it shows up on the screen on the Entune (in a 2018 Limited). Enough info in the various posts in the forum to figure it out.
