GEN 14 F150 obviously. The cam phaser issue has been corrected for the 14th generation.

Also, “lol”? We in middle school? Or are you literally “laughing out loud”?

MPG is terrible towing. If I didnt have the 36 gallon tank it would be a deal breaker

I'm sorry you misunderstood that we were talking about the 3.5EB (not the F150) which is in its 2nd generation.

Relax. It's a minor mistake. Take a breath. Post another pic of your boat. It'll be ok.

    Lol. Or
Whichever you are less offended by :notsure:

By the time all half tons are running V6s Ford's will probably have been out on the market getting field tested and having the kinks worked out for nearly 20 years and the next most mature will be Toyota at 5 to 10. Ford has other QC issues but looks like a strong move for them to make that leap so many years ago.

The 3.4 Toyota is using has already been around for 5 years, though admittedly not in a truck application.

Its subjective. He puts on 40k Kilometers a year. He will find out soon.
They sell 6 F150's to every Tundra. And GMC/Silverado combined is a higher number than Ford.
That means there are alot of sore truck asses riding around.
Gotta admit I cracked up laughing when the female in the relationship called his previous F150 Limited luxurious, and the GMC more a basic truck.
The bigger issue for him was the Tundra cabin feel and the exposed head unit. Says it looks like an add on. His words.
If you get into the room and don't like it, you are not staying.

Ya 100% subjective , I thought the platinum tundra interior was much better, loved the big screen and how clear it is, seats etc, so that’s where my cash went

but I certainly understand people like other shit , no worries on that

I just couldn’t do those gm seats , my lord awful

They added more bolts to the first gen one even. Ford just came out with a new design maybe 1.5 years ago that is now made out of stainless steel and the altered the bolt pattern and added a bolt. The first gen had 11 holes drilled and tapped in the heads for the manifolds and the original design only used 8 of them.

I think the 2021+ is technically called a gen 3. There were enough changes between 2020 and 2021 that I dont think they are considered the same engine anymore. For example the Gen 2 manifold upgrades don't fit, they have an EGR now, and PCM and tuning is completely different, etc.

I think the 5.3 is the least compelling engine for their 1/2 tons. If I was putting together a work fleet that didn’t need to tow much, I would get a bunch of SCLB with 2.7. I am fairly surprised GM doesn’t have a TT6 right now. Maybe they are hanging their hat on the 3.0 Diesel. That seems risky to me, although for most accounts, it is an incredible bit of engineering and efficiency. I have to say I am very intrigued by that engine. I test drove one once a few years ago and it was super nice. I wouldn’t touch a GM V8 with a 10’ pole with that idiotic DOD/AFM engine killer technology.

The 5.3 is the least exciting motor in the half ton class aside from the Pentastar at this point. Ford dropped the 3.3 and id rather have Ford or GM’s 2.7 over the 5.3

Have unlimited pto so I took a fuck it say off.

Toyota dealer called me and said they had a 24 mag gray on red pro that just came in. It’s so much better with the black headliner. It looks nice but man, I used to love my hen 3 pro but when I drove it just seemed rough. And seats are small and sit lower than I remember.

priced nicely at $79k sticker + adjustment

Obviously your boat is trash and you shouldn't put yourself or your family at risk in it. You should just give it to me so I can dispose of it properly.

Neighbors up the lake gave me the Blantons for feeding their dogs for the weekend.

That's a nice spread and happy birthday.

The powerboost has gotten over 20 the last few tanks. Gonna miss it as temps are about to get cold and if last Winter is the trend I'll slip back down to 17-18.

Of course that's still about 4mpg better than the 09 Crewmax used to get in that season so I guess I'm spoiled now. Got the parking brake wire recall handled, hoping for peace and quiet and just oil changes for the next year. Priced an extended warranty for my dealer for 2300 bucks. A dealer in Ohio that always undercuts everyone else in the region on everything is selling online for 4-500 less so I'll probably get it from them.
