Unintended acceleration problem

    I’m not saying I don’t like Toyotas. Since I was able to drive I always buy Toyota & Honda. I got me a 4-Runner, Corolla, Camry, Honda Accord, Civic etc.& I didn’t have any problems with them. They all reached 300,000+ before I finally say goodbye to those cars. But I don’t know if I’m gonna trust the tundras now. I’m getting scared to drive it now.

    I mean, weird place to post about it, here in the 2000-2006 year subforum. Our trucks don't suffer from that problem, @Cooljax! You need to get yourself a 1st gen!

    I have a 69 VW Beetle that has on more than one occasion had a struck throttle usually while going pretty fast. I just turn the key off. The engine dies and I coast to safe spot to get out and jiggle the throttle return spring on the carburetor. Then back on the road again.
