Uhhh I'll check on it. Worst case scenario, you can always heat up the chrome with a hair dryer.

There's one wrapped up in tissue that says "C CSM" so I assume? Don't quote me though.

Woo Hoo, just received a shipping notification that my label has been created.
No more chrome bumper bits in back.

 

When did you order yours? September 11 here for grill surround, just trying to get a feel for a rough timeline. No shipping info yet.

 

Sept 1, no painting needed for MGM colored acrylic plastic.
I believe they just started making the rear bumper covers in earnest this week.

 

Right on. Thank you. The midnight black isn’t painted in house either so that should have me on track to ship soon. Original date to ship was September 25. Being rid of this chrome stash is the last thing on my list cosmetically.

 

EC1 mentioned the due to ship date was a default in their automated receipt system a page or so back.

 

I missed that. They’ve been great to deal with, just waiting to get rid of this chrome. I’m also literally diagonally across the continent from California so shipping likely will be a little longer, depending on carrier.

Let me know if they get there without tape on them. They shouldn't, the parties responsible for sending out a couple parts with no tape have been talked to about it. It's really only happening to painted parts because we wrap them in tissue paper so they don't get scratched up or damaged.

Yeah, sorry about the rough timeline. We're trying to get it set up in the HUGE thermoforming machine. The machine caused us to buy the Rocklin facility and ditch our Auburn location (which we still rent half of because we built a paint booth in it.) The huge machine will help us be able to make MORE Tundra parts MORE often!

We make the rears on the same tool that we make the grille surround on.

We're working hard. New machines mean new processes so there's a learning curve. And don't forget it might get held in customs for a little bit.

 

We got our door handle covers in. They were previously advertised as replacements. This was an incorrect description, they are instead "snap-on covers". We are sending out an email regarding this. It's far less work to install.

Nice! The ones I bought from Amazon, the clear coat is peeling off so I might have to jump on some of these now. However, I may wait to see how the matte looks once the clear peels off. lol...

Byu default they come in Gloss Black. I guess since the snap-on feature is patented, I can/should reveal that we're working with Trim Illusion to make this all happen. If you're going to get body color, great! We'll paint it. But if you want gloss black, I could literally ship these out today with no issues.

Keep in mind they are designed to go over the existing OEM handles.

 

Will any chrome show? Can you confirm the touch to unlock/lock will still Work? Do you have pictures of these installed?

So these only cover the chrome portion or do they cover the whole handle? The ones I currently have only covered the chrome and did not cover the already gloss black portion of them.

 

Personal, I’m fine with the gloss black on the upper and back side, just looking to eliminate the chrome face.

 

Me too. I'm just wondering if they cover the backside too. Current ones I have do not. Just curious if these ones cover the whole thing or just the front side chrome.

 

Any updates on grill surround shipment? Ordered on the 19th Sept and excited to get it on the truck.
