stock bumper sucks when launching my boat.
I am looking at the stealth fighter rear bumper because it gives me my license plate lights and had module lights. What are you using and how do you like it especially for launching a boat.
I have a tonneau cover and no where to tie my boat to so I need something to assist me in that.

Well let me help you out
For me I tie the boat to the bumper and when I get out the truck I take the line and than tie the boat to the dock. This is my system when I’m by myself ( which is most often ) and I have some physical impairments and I don’t like to get wet so maybe other people do it differently

So it sounds like some D-rings etc will assist. Seems like the ADD Stealth fighter or something similar layout will be beneficial. Expedition one also has a nice bumper https://www.expeditiononestore.com/Tundra-2014-2021-RangeMax-Rear-Bumper_p_1027.html

The C4 and Expedition One rear bumpers are both quality and have recovery points on the rear that you could attach a hard or soft shackle to and then to your line to. That would make the most sense to me.

Man - didn’t know I’d have to think this hard this early in the morning. I usually always have at least one half competent helper with me so I’ve only had to launch completely solo a few times. I’ve never bothered tying the boat off to my truck but have attached a 25’ rope to the bow eye and tossed the loose end over the tailgate to walk the boat to the dock. Back in slow enough the boat doesn’t want to take off when you stop.

I don’t think that helps OP but that’s what I’ve done.

Why not tie the boat to the trailer when backing down?

In my old Chevy I did not have a tonneau cover and I had those anchors that you stick in the holes of your bed rails and I had a tie point on my bumper too
I forget the correct terminology of the knot that cinches when the boat tries to come off but when I pull from the otherside it would come loose.

I was thinking the shackles on the stealth bumper would be great. Tying to the trailer not a bad idea either. All in all thanks for the suggestions.

You can tie in right behind the hitch on the tongue of the trailer. Simple slip knot would suffice. And it's close enough to the truck your likely still staying dry.

Why not bolt a tiedown loop at side of bumper? I'm rarely opposed to cutting or drilling on my truck if it serves a purpose for me.

Functional for your use and waaayy cheaper.
    Won't look as cool though.

I think launching a boat is a fine reason to get an aftermarket bumper. I strongly support the purchase
