Good evening. Recently got a 1794 edition tundra with trd off road package, my first ever truck I had. Wondering what you guys have for a tonneau cover and a running boards? Any codes and discount for any website is appreciated!

I just ordered a Diamondback, haven’t had one before so I’m excited to try it out. Really depends on what you want out of a cover. I had the OEM trifold on my Tacoma, it was…. Okay? I liked that I could flip it back to put bikes in the back, it was pretty easy to remove when needed but I ultimately upgraded to an RSI Smartcap.

I’m hoping the bed on the Trundra is just big enough to work w/ the diamondback. I like that it’s locked up tight so I can leave items back there, and you can put a good amount of weight on top of it.

Cool. Thank you. Looking forward to see it in your truck! I’m looking forward to that or bakflip mx4. Like most people buy

There’s an 80 page accessory thread and an even longer “what have you done” thread pinned. You can get a lot of ideas there

The Diamondback fits the Tundra just fine. Installed the SE on my 2023 Platinum, no issues.

I have the Bak Revolver X4S on my 1794, much prefer it to the folding tonneau covers. As for the running boards I have the regular Toyota ones and they work fine.

Just installed BackFlip MX4 tri-fold on 2023 Platinum. Wanted Lomac alloy tri-fold, but needed it quickly due to family emergency out of town and the Blackflip was available for next day delivery. Installation was about an hour, it looks good on the Blueprint Platinum. Had a Lomac on 2019 Superduty and it never leaked any water and doesn’t use drain tubes as it sets on the bed rails. Downside to it is you only have 2/3 bed opening and have to remove cover for full bed usage. MX4 is the most popular cover and will see how it handles the rain.

Oh that’s awesome, looks great. Seems from the video’s it’s pretty simple install?

I just re-read my post and when I said “big enough to work” I meant to say enough space w/ the Tundra bad and cover vs having to go full sized cap.

Does the tailgate still drop w/ the key fob or is it too snug requiring you to physically pull it down?

Last question, did it really take 4 weeks to ship? Ordered last weekend an ETA to ship is like Oct 21st. I didn’t want to pay $250 to expedite but I am excited to get the cover on before winter.

It was a simple install. Did it myself, panels weigh about 35 pounds each, and from pallet drop off in my driveway to cleanup was about 2 1/2 hours. Took lots of breaks though since it was hot as hell outside.
Tailgate does not drop on its own since the seals are really good on the DB.
Shipping estimated 19 days for me when I ordered but it arrived about a week early.
If you need to transport something that requires full bed plus some height, the top is easy to remove...no more that 10 minutes to pull.
