Butter is for searing after you’ve seasoned the pan

I could've done that too. Now I have that first time under my belt, I can perfect things from here out. I was pretty good at grilling steaks on our old gas grill. Our new gas grill is awful for steaks.

So do you season it every use? It wasn't a new pan. I know seasoning a new pan is a must. I used an onion and canola oil. The steaks were marinated overnight in Italian dressing and got a little bit of steak seasoning when they hit the pan. I make em medium rare, except my father's steak. He likes medium well.

Season after every wash. Don’t wash every time.

I have a two burner Blackstone griddle. I very rarely clean it with water. Most of the time I wipe it clean and rub olive oil over it.

EDIT: it’s not cast-iron, but rolled steel. Same principles apply.

EDIT EDIT: I use it at least 2x a week

Everyone thinks commercial griddles are stainless or some shit, just some think ass steel is all.

our friends had the best gen griddle and it was super thin and warped easily, the upgraded to a 2 burner compact BS that they take camping, it’s great!

Before we moved to Texas, we had a Coachman Clipper. We sold it because we couldn’t bring it with us. I couldn’t tow a camper behind my truck that was being towed by a U-Haul. South eastern states frown upon that.
Anyway, I had a portable two burner Blackstone set up with that camper and it was the best griddle I’ve ever owned. I should have kept it, but I sold it with the camper.

I've heard of hairy butts, but using a lawn mower on Ned's crack seems over the top.

Uhaul every day. Rare man has the justification & space for a trailer as well built as what they rent.
Totally hit or miss if what you get tows like it's not there or tows like a wind sock.

    My wife is so cool.
So she’s one of these people that has to have the TV on in order to fall asleep. I’m just the opposite. As a result, she always goes to bed before I do. Now a mouse fart could wake her up. So as soon as I walk into the room she wakes up and turns off the TV.
Tonight she was watching Pitch Black. No sooner than I go to take my shoes off, she wakes up and turns the TV off. I turned to her and asked, “How do I get eyes like that?” Without missing a beat, she says, “Gotta kill a few people.” I laughed and as I’m walking to the bathroom I said, “Did that” and I closed the bathroom door. She hopped out of bed, opens the bathroom door (half asleep) and says, “Then you gotta get sent to a slam where they say you'll never see daylight again. You dig up a doctor and you pay him 20 menthol Kools to do a surgical shine job on your eyeballs.”

I overcooked the burgers tonight, cast iron and too much avocado oil. But they were edible.

seasoning I dunno but I’ve learned cleaning from mistakes. Wipe w paper towels to get the grease and crud out. Full with water. Use lodge plastic scraper to remove stuck on stuff. Dump water. Soap and sponge to remove small stuff. Dump. Light scour w green pad or whatever scrubby you like best. Full rinse and I like to use my hand at this point. Place on range then medium heat 3 min. Set a timer. I have f’d that last part up too many times.

Personally I just want a damn bbq and gas at this point. I’m over the cast iron. I think my tax refund is going to force the issue. It’ll be time.

Read stats on avocado oil last year. Significant amount (more than half?) is rancid by the time it makes it to the grocery store shelf. Shelf life on that stuff is horrible.

What kinda size do you need?
My truck pulls my 6.5x12 tilt trailer at least once per tank of gas. Usually with my side by side on it. Gave $1000 for it. It's older but it's treated me well so far.

I've been talking myself out of one of these everytime i go to harbor freight. When i find a 8' tundra bed, this is probably what it'll get mounted on. or a jet ski or boat trailer...

Tastes good too. I just used too much. Usually that's my problem, too much torque, too much of some ingredient. Unbalanced :)
