I have the advanced pack but will walk to my grave without a lift. I like the OEM ride after a lifetime of lifts and big ass tires

 

I feel the same I would really like to lift mine but I do enjoy the ride like you mentioned.
The new ones are 285/55R22 with no poke and no rub a dub dub,freaking perfect fitment and proportional looking MHO.

all they did was change the composition of the tires, tread pattern didnt change really.

Falken 295/70-18’s were delivered today. Got a smoking deal for $1247 delivered from SimpleTire. Have rims arriving any day to replace stock ones. Pic comparing to 275/70-18 KO2.

 

Similar to what I paid once you convert to Canadian dollars and add my 15% sales tax. $1736 delivered.

 

I just wanted to share with everyone my new tires in hopes that it’ll help someone make a decision. I’m sharing multiple angles with you all.

These are Nitto Recon Grapplers LT296/70/18. They’re sold and advertised as an A/T but every reviews says they’re a bit more of a hybrid. Pretty darn close to the Toyo Open Country R/T Trails. There’s absolutely no rub at full lock in both directions or forward and backwards.

 

295’s transform these trucks. My 265’s that came on my trd off road made me keep it in the garage the first day of ownership until I could get in to my tire shop.

 

New shoes today. Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT in 295/70r18 and the rest is stock.
No chafing.

I too went with Simple tire they absolutely had the best price for my size compared to tire rack,townfaire tire and other big box stores.
Before I pulled the trigger I used tacomaworld.com for the calculations which made it very easy to compare old to new tires,the overlap comparison is pretty damn cool.

 

Powder coated TRD rims matte, changed center caps with BFG KO2 275 70 18

Hi Folks, I picked up a 2024 Platinum last week and now I'm looking for bigger tires. These trucks can come with a few different suspension configurations making it confusing for me to know what people are able to fit.

My truck has the basic suspension, no AVS, no trd-off road package. Would I be safe going up to 285/75-18 on the trd pro bbs wheels?

 

Yes should be fine.

Should be, I went 295/70r18. So wider but not quite as tall as the 285/75.

 

How does it ride compared to stock?

 

Installed Nomad 17” wheel 0 offset. Love the wheels. Hate the poke. Wish there was a positive offset. Probably selling these for some +25 methods.
