Just an observation...Perhaps get your helmet off center and closer to your inside shoulder ("kiss the mirror"). It might feel more comfortable and help with your vision.

Definitely need to work on my upper body positioning. I've got T3/T4 damage from a 2016 car accident that start causing all sorts of issues pretty early into a day at the track if I dont make a conscious effort to correct myself. Will work on that next time for sure.

 

I can relate. I have bulging disc between L4 and L5 from all the motorcycle and snowboarding crashes.

 

This was back in 2017, i did 17 trackdays and was getting my laptimes down to the point where I wanted to do club races and would actually be fighting for mid pack

Then my buddy torpedo me in middle turn 8 at thunderhill east, I couldnt walk for 6 months and broke my ankle and 2/3 toes and got abuncha screws in it, havent been back since

Sounds like you need to bring both bikes to the track to figure out if it only happens on the 890 and not the 636/zx6r/zx10r?

 

Man, I really need to learn to ride better. We don't have any tracks around here and the roads are all flat and straight.

I did get a new high score the other day though. 142.

Added a hefty one to the bunch. Drove down to Iowa (again) to pick it up just before the 4th. It has more options on it than I know what to do with. Only 18K miles.

Now I just need to find the equivalent to the Tundras forum for the Wing. Time to start modding.

My parents still have a couple of these. I rode hundreds of miles on them when I was barely old enough to reach the pedals.

Seeing this makes me want to go get it out and fire it up. A friend of mine just bought one of the new Trail 125s the other day.

 

I got a 2022 the other day. Had to search for it 2023’s are green. Next toys to play with.


Turns out the CT90 is a 1972, old guy I got it from was a little confused. So I now have a 1972 and a 2022, 50 years apart siblings. Haha.

 

My first motorcycle was a Trail 90 in the 70's. I hated it. All the cool kids got CR80s and YZ80s and I got an ugly and slow abomination. But when I started hunting a couple of years later, it really started to shine as the mule of the motorcycle world.

Still, I felt like this trying to take it off sweet jumps like my friends did...

 

Refreshed my lowspeed riding skills this weekend.

Our bikes were ziptied with pieces of old fire hoses for added protection.

Installed a DL1000 seat on the 650 to get a little more legroom.

She won't let me anymore. We tried it once when she had her HD and we went to dinner at restaurant 2 miles from home. I kept putting my feet down at stop signs
