Well, the new truck showed up on Saturday and I have to say I flippin' love it so far. Only made it a day before I put the wheels and tires on it. Went with Icon Compression 18" x 9" +25 with Nitto Recon 295/70 R18. No rubbing at all.

I think I'm going to leave it stock and not put any kind of leveling kit on, even though that was my original intention. It rides really nice and smooth with this set up, and it's plenty high for what I need. Not to mention I just don't want any issues down the road.

Now just want to get some power running boards and other little items here and there. This truck is pretty awesome.

Anyone want to buy some practically new Platinum rims and tires (<40 miles)? :bananadance:

Looks good. My tundra just showed up last night. Pick it up next week. I have 295/70r18 at3w’s on stock off road wheels. I have a 1” cornfed spacer lift I’m installing to just add that little bit on the front. I’ll post pictures once I get it all installed on day 1 I hope

Looks great, can you post a pic down the side to see how much the tires stick out past the fenders?

The tires completely changed the look of the truck. Pictures don't really do it justice.

    Here's the poke. Maybe 3/4" to 1" +/-

Just completed my suspension upgrade on the 2023 SR5 TRD OR. Ended up keeping the stock 18" wheels but added the 1" wheel spacers to keep them away from the UCA's though I doubt they would have rubbed (their was slightly less than 1/2 inch gap between stock UCA's and the 34.8" tires before the lift). For the suspension, I went with the Dobinsons IMS 2.6" shocks with the C59-840 coils and TRD Upper Control Arms. On the rear, I chose the 2.6" Dobinsons MRR adjustable shocks with C59-841V. Will be installing a winch and bumper so the front should sit slightly lower than it currently does but overall I like the current setup. I plan on adding a camper to the back so will swap out for heavier springs when that happens.

Added Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT 275/60/20 to my 1 week old ‘23 1794. It measure 33.43” and my Speedo is now dead on, and I can’t notice any difference compared to stock. Tires are 64lbs each but the ride is still plush. Well done MickeyThompson.

Anyone try the MT Baja legend exp? They look like they might be what I’m looking for. A road princess tire that has good ride quality but looks a little more aggressive. I have a dedicated winter tire so not worried about winter performance. Any real world user experience would be nice!

I'm running it on my vehicle and have about 1400 miles on them though very little non pavement miles. I chose them over BFG KO2's, Falken WP AT3W's (I have run two sets of those previously) and am running a 34.8 inch size (..I chose predominantly for their weight relative to a few other options and am very satisfied with them though I have not used them in heavy rain. Good road manners, relatively low noise (still early days), and I expect them to be a good off-road tire comparable or superior to those that I was considering. Relative to their more agressive and capable cousins in the baja boss, you are probably trading some off road performance for better on road manners and some weight so given about 80% or more of my driving is on road I was okay with that tradeoff.

Good to know. I would say 90% of mine is road, 7% gravel and maybe 3% off road. If that. So not really worried about off road too much.

I chose to go with 35x11.50x20 124R Toyo ATIII’s with the stock TRD 20 inch rims. I have the Westcott Designs pre collar lift, running 11.50 vs 12.50 I don’t need a spacer and less weight spinning overall. I made this choice based on pure science…wider is not better when it comes to rubber on the road for everyday use. I don’t think anyone can tell the difference either and get tons of compliments….which just encourages bad behavior hahaha.

I have 19,000 miles on them and have had zero issues. They work great off roading, commuting, and boulder trails. They should last for many miles…only trade off I have noticed is up here in the PNW when the roads are wet, you get a little slip if you take a corner a bit to hot but nothing surprising or concerning….just adds a little fun to the ride. They are also quiet which is a big plus! Just my two pennies…

With that profile, I would certainly also look at the Falken WP AT3W's since they have even better road performance, and are really good in the wet and snow.

You think they’d be quieter and more comfortable the the legends? I don’t care about snow performance as i have Nokian Hakks for winter.

It's difficult to compare since I ran those on different vehicles but I believe with a less aggressive tread design, they should offer a quieter and better on road experience.

A bit stiffer than stock TRD bilstein suspension but overall a better more confident ride. I haven't played around much with the adjustments in the rear but did try out a few things and believe I have it where it gets me the most comfortable and assured ride on road which is a big departure from how the rear felt on road with stock suspension and an empty bed. I don't have any weight on it so it currently has a bit too much lift for my liking. Once I install a front and rear bumper, winch and other things I may play around to see if I can lower it about half an inch or so. I will have to try it out on road for a few weeks and take it off road to see how it performs but it seems to have worked in terms of what I was looking for.

Here's the fuel consumption with 34.8" AT's and lift (was going downhill most of the time)

Put some good leather gloves on, heat the inner fender well with a heat gun and get it good and warm, then just push it in and hold it while it cools. It will maintain that shape you pushed it for ever .

I have done that on numerous trucks and 1 lowered car

So for those asking about mileage...
I fueled up right before getting 295/65/20's last week, prior to this I was getting around 14mpg and barely hitting 400 miles per tank.

Fueld up again last night and the dash reported an average of 13.6mpg with 387.7 miles, so not much of a decrease.

However, keep in mind that the Speedo is off now...I consistently see a difference of 4mph (~5%) between the Speedo vs GPS...so accounting for this my real world milage is likely closer to 407 (387.7 * 1.05)....so on par/better than I was getting before...
