You are so right. The Tundra that helped out had an 8' bed. No wonder it could haul so much. Awesome suggestion, thank you.

You can put a lot of lightweight shtuff into an 8ft bed, and even close the tailgate! So much trash fits!

all them suckers with 5.5 and 6ft toy-beds will never know what their missing

Modern trucks are only built for hauling groceries. Grab an older Kubota and a trailer for the farm work.

I really think you're describing needs for 2 different vehicles. You need a farm work vehicle but want a commuter with some street cred looks (Spacers, 20" wheels, or whatever version therein). Get a beater Ford Super Duty/Chevy HD/Dodge with the Cummins (Or even a mini work vehicle like the mentioned Kubota, etc) and leave it in the barn. Then get a ride you like for the commute stuff.

Those are 2 very different rides you are describing in my opinion and are not going to serve both sets of demands without some major compromise each way.
    Good luck!

She was the last year to have remnants of draft workhorse DNA left.

For the designed use, you should be looking at 18", or even 17" wheels, not 20" wheels.

The shorter sidewall on the tire produces a rougher ride than a higher sidewall will.
