She’s doing pretty well. Still has a little bit of a limp every once in a while but can get up on her hind legs and jump up wherever she wants. I just have to remind our kid to chill out around her sometimes haha

    OK,

My poor Pup is kinda pissed off at me...:anonymous:

We are staying outside of DC for the weekend visiting our daughter & grabbing the grandbabies' for the rest of summer and are on the 6th floor..o_O

Riva' has never been on an elevator and let me tell you, if looks could kill ...bringing the bags up with the cart plus the two of us he was

flattened right against the floor...And now tonight as we went out for our evening

walk , going down was uneventful BUT I had to carry the Lil guy onto the elevator

    to come back upstairs :(...

But once out on our floor and on command I asked him to find Con & he went directly to our room door..

Lifes lessons.... and dam he travels well :D.... we had a Shitty day with NYC and Jersey being parking lots and an 8 hour drive turned into 11-1/2

with just 2 stops....All uneventful :hattip:

I never posted about it in this thread because I didn't want to be a downer or fish for sympathy, but I had to put Stella down at the end of May. I'm still wrecked about it on a regular basis. 13 years and then a very sudden departure. Less than ideal, but it was what was best for her.

Anyway, I stumbled across this and it hit hard, for obvious reasons. Again, not wanting sympathy or to bring anyone down. We are all dog people hear so I know you all understand, but I wanted to share this to remind everyone to make sure you give your pup your all. They will always give you theirs!

I know you don’t want sympathy, but I will give some empathy instead……people who don’t own dogs just don’t realize…..I am sorry for your loss. We had to put beans (12 years old) down in may as well. We finally picked up his ashes last week - I just couldn’t bring myself to go get them because it felt way too final at that point. The emotion of it all still sticks with us and we cry regularly about missing him. But mostly because he was a dog filled with such personality and there is a hole in our house. His brother seems to be pretty lethargic lately but is coming around. The kids are gutted and my wife lost her best friend. BUT we will do it all over again when we have had proper time to process because dogs are that amazing. Mourn Stella and remember the good times. But when the time is right get another dog and spoil the shit out of them to honor her.

They're brothers a year apart but TOTALLY different personalities. We picked up Bodie(left) for my mom after she lost her last lab. Buxton(right) is ours.

    A spin on the post your pups;

    Post your pup hair
We vacuum once a week, one week with the cordless, and the next week with the corded (move furniture and stuff).
With the corded vac I'll have at least 3 of these, full.

    upload_2023-8-18_14-8-15.jpg

He gets brushed outside almost every other day.
I asked Maverick about it and he said: "It wasn't me"..

I don't run my Roomba every day because my leaves her crap all over the floors and it gets partially sucked in. I'm not home all day to rescue the Roomba from stuff it tried to grab that was too big (i.e. a shoe string gets sucked in but the shoe is too big).
