I had some wiring issues with my truck, And ultimately had to bring it to the dealer out of town. Then a week later I started having other issues, I pulled off my upper intake and there was a mouse nest on knock sensor 3 and they had chewed almost completely through the wires right at the plug. I'm on my way to get a new harness now, and I'm generally curious if there's anything I can do to keep mice out from this one? I do plan on putting traps outside my vehicle, but is there anything I can run like extra tubing or something over it all, I don't know I just know I don't want to do this again.. should I. Spray some rodent repellent under my hood or something? Lol idk what a good option is

We have 11 feral cats that live in our backyard. We don't have mice, snakes, squirrels, or bird problems.

IMG_3647.png IMG_3646.png I’ve got a few of these rodent pouches under hood, every couple or weeks I put a little of the peppermint oil on them to sort of reactivate them. Truck stays outside and I live in the woods. Did the screen over cowl openings too. So far no mice or squirrels in truck. Have caught several in garage and a few in house in traps. Dogs do a good job in backyard. Foxes and owls help out a little at night.

Peppermint oil is great. I throw it in a spray bottle and dilute it a little, then spray under my wheel wells and engine bay regularly. Never permeates into the cab that i've noticed.

And if it does, it smells a lot better than a dead rodent.
