I got the Rotora HD 6-piston front and 4-piston rear brakes on the Tundra today. I think they look sexy AF. :)

    “Venom Power” Oof.

I’m sure the tires are great if you’re running them. That branding though…oof. It gives Goodyear’s “Fierce Attitude” brand a run for its money.

Excited to hear more details on the brakes, if they’re any cheaper than PowerStop.

:rofl:LOL. It's my job to make this new tire brand cool. It's going to be a long process. Lot's of changes and things to implement.

The Rotora kit is less $$$ than the PowerStop kit. I'll get to test them out in the next couple of weeks on a roadtrip and some desert fun.

Does powerstop even have a rear option?

Also interesting that these fit under a 17" wheel. Powerstop said minimum 18", which I'll admit influenced my wheel choice :(

It looks small because the truck has 20" wheel at the moment. I'll post a new photo once I get the Tundra back in a few days with 17" wheels.

I said on the original post that 37X12.50R17 are going on the truck the following day. The photo I posted shows 37X12.50R20.

I think the rotors are just slightly bigger than OEM but the front and rear calipers are 6 and 4 pistons, respectively...so, it will have improved stopping power. You should consider Rotora if you're looking for better brakes than stock and want to switch to 17" wheels.

The brakes are more responsive and makes me feel more confident stopping 37" tires. Not my job to make the brakes look cool. Maybe if someone paid me, I'll do it. LOL. :)

I'm worried, but not too worried. We'll see what happens when I take this on the trails in a few weeks.

Yes. They are pretty nice and the added braking performance benefit is awesome. I'll have the truck at Off-Road Expo in Pomona next week. You can check it out there if you plan to attend.

Where do you actually buy those brakes from? The Rotora website is less than helpful finding kits for a particular vehicle. I've been looking for upgraded brakes, especially when I tow, that fit on 17's.

Is Rotora a new brand? Half the pages on their website says "Coming Soon".

Will do, just curious how they are actually selling anything if they don't have a functional website and a google search doesn't bring anything up.

Agreed. Couldn't even find a list of dealers. Regardless, here's what I got from them:

So, how many miles have you guys put on the new brakes, and do they squeal?

Getting close to 5k miles on the OEMs and the squeal is starting to get bad.

Ummm.. It might be late, but am I missing something? I'm not seeing any powerstop kits as expensive as the Rotoras. I see the full front and rear Z36 PowerStop full kit for ~$800. Am I reading the the email quote wrong - $2200 fro the full Rotora kit? Or are we comparing it to a completely different Gucci-fied PowerStop kit that I can't find.

BTW, interested to see what you might do to make New Mutant and Venom Power... cool...

Thats just rotors and pads from powerstop for the factory brakes, their kit will be significantly more expensive.

With calipers, pads, rotors - 880. Like I said, what am I missing? I realize they are 4 caliper, not 6, but I’m not seeing a 6 caliper setup from power stop - only other brands’ big brake kits with big rotors.

I’m not trying to knock Rotora, just trying to understand the comparison already made between them and Powerstop. At $500 for the rear upgraded caliper kit, I’d jump on the Rotoras. But $1700 for the fronts seems steep compared to the z36 kit above.
