Have any of you on here have had issues with their armrest peeling? About a year ago mine started peeling in the front right by where the handle is to release and open. Now it's about 2" long. It seems like the leather was cut short and therefore during use, it broke free is peeling back. 2020 with 64K miles.

I'll get a picture uploaded this afternoon when I head out on lunch.

Bummer....I have not had that issue, mine is a 2020 as well, but a fair amount of less miles on it. I know you can get aftermarket covers for the center console lid off Amazon and other sites. In addition ebay has some lid assemblies cheap although can't speak to the quality of them.

Yeah I’m thinking my best bet would probably be to go to an upholstery shop to have it recovered. I’d like to keep it stock feel as much as possible.

I could try and take it apart and reglue it down but it definitely feels like the fabric was cut short and it would eventually peel back again.

I had same issue. Bought a replacement and it was a B to install and looks like crap. I plan to get leather seats professionally installed down the road and will have that fixed at the same time.

I’m glad I’m not the only one then. I’m thinking professionally fixed or direct oem replacement is my only option.

I had the same problem as well (although, not as bad). Took it to the dealer, they replaced it under warranty - no questions asked. I was under 30k miles.

I tried that route too. Except I was at 45k and the best response was, “we have a really good upholstery person we can refer you to”

I have same problem, I think it happened by way of adding the wireless charger. I will be doing this when I get a spare hour... If I were y'all give it a shot... bound to look better than that ugly Lil tongue sticking out.. just some contact cement on both sides, wait and then slap it around... upholstery isn't rocket science and get a hairdryer evolved to get it stretchable before gluing... good luck y'all!

I'm all about an at home fix but my concern is with it peeling back up again since it's still short and doesn't roll under the lip very far.

My '21 is just barely starting to do this. I may take it off this weekend and see if I can stretch and re-glue/staple.

Trust me you can stretch it to get back under the plastic that covers it under neath... using the hair dryer will allow you to pull the material far enough... you got this.

I took mine to the dealer today for this exact thing, a 2020 CM with only 10k miles. Dealer says its out of factory warranty. My 2014 DC that I had for like 6 years didn't have this problem. Since I have the leather seats, thinking of looking for an upholstery place that can put leather on it. I don't think it could be fixed either, it looks like the material shrunk.

I hot glued mine back down and so far its holding. I had tried to just tuck it back under and gorilla tape but that only lasted a day or so.

Thanks everyone. I will probably go the route of heating it up and applying a glue and stretch it out and see how it holds.

    I appreciate it.

I'm leaving out of town tomorrow for a wedding then flying to Hawaii on sunday for a 10 day vacation so I'm at minimum 2 weeks out from even thinking about working on it. Plus a 1.5 year old isn't a big helper when working on the truck lol

@Jaypown - Did you try to fix on your own? I just noticed a similar issue on my '21 and I'm trying to figure out the best path forward to repair/replace.

I have not. It's been on my list of things to do but life keeps changing up priorities.

There's replacement covers sold Amazon but not sure how it'll fit.

When I get to it, I'm going to try get some glue down in the open area, small amounts at a time, and slowly reglue it. Not sure how well it'll hold though.

I had a buddy with the same issue on his 2018 Tundra. He bought this cover off of Etsy. I saved the link in case it ever happens to me. Once he got the cover, he took the console lid off and took it down to an upholster who installed it. The cover is like $40 and he paid about that to have the upholster install it. I would see if you can find a local upholster, either furniture or automotive (often times they'll do both).

Said it felt better & sturdier than it did the day he bought it.

I took mine to Toyota, paid the deductible and they replaced it with a brand new one. Waiting to see how long this one lasts.

I took things apart and used some super glue to try to repair things. We will see how long it lasts. Managed to only lose one of the tiny screws holding things together...

Same thing happened to me 2 years ago and in a few days it kept coming apart.
Took it to an upholstery shop and had it redone. $150 and it came out looking better than factory.

I have this same issue. I will likely try to repair it myself & if all else fails, take it to the local upholstery shop
