Well I sold my 2020 Tundra Sport back to the dealer after a four wheel drive noise that they couldn't solve. Went a bought a new Nissan Frontier. It's been a great truck. I have the opportunity to buy my father in laws 2016 Tundra Off Road for a very good price. The truck is bone stock and only has about 20,000 miles on it. It's been a very good truck and he hasn't had any issues with it. I was going to pass on it but after some thought it would be best to sell the Frontier. I plan to buy a new truck in about three years time and the Frontier will depreciate at a greater rate then the Tundra. For what I'm paying for the Tundra after three years I'll get my money back.

At least Toyota will have worked out any bugs on the new Tundra by then. Like they always do.

I'll be looking for a 4runner in 2030 or so.

Curious why you'd need to buy a new truck in 3 yrs. Going to a 3/4 ton?

In three years my wife will be retired and plan to travel in a larger RV. If only Toyota made a 3/4 or 1 ton.

Congrats, but with that mileage, the poor thing must be dying to be driven.

My dad has the last gen Frontier with old body style - 2020. I have a the last year of the 2.5 gen tundra.

We’re gonna keep them till the wheels fall off. We love old design trucks (that you could buy new, in 2020-2021)

Now can somebody help me find my walking cane?!?!?!?

He never drove it much. Just in the summer and then it sat in the garage during the winter when he went to Florida. He’s 85 and has lost his license so the reason for him selling it (Alzheimer's). My mother in law call me to say he has lost the keys and can’t find them. He hides things then forgets where he put them. If you loose both keys and fobs the truck has to go back to the dealer and a master tech has to program new keys for it. Then new fobs will have to be programmed. I sure hope they turn up.

Congratulations. My '13 Sequoia came from the dealer in Texas with only the valet key, the dealer here in Phoenix charged THEM just under 400 to make a new primary key. Good luck.

Since both keys are missing plus the fobs it’s going to be expensive if the keys are not found. All Toyotas key set come with a little silver tag that has a number stamped on it. With that number new keys can be made. Hopefully that tag can be found if the keys can’t.

Sorry, hope they find them. I'd hope the dealer can get the code from the vin & wipe the security in Techstream & reset it but what do I know?

    Good luck!

It’s quiet the procedure. It’s made difficult to prevent vehicle theft. To boot, the truck is also locked up.

Don't tell anyone but it's also going to be pulling a 5th wheel.

Most definitely. No warranty on this one so if won't be going back to the dealer. In hindsight I should have just changed out the front axle bearing and CV axle. Most of the issues were dealer caused.

You gonna add anything to the truck for that other than the 5th wheel hitch?

Tundras and fifth wheels are a touchy subject on this forum so I’d rather not talk about it here.
