Hey fellers and fellettes. The fine organization I bought my Tundra from did a nice quick Craig's List paint re-spray on her and obviously did not use the proper adhesive for the badges. I've done exhaustive searches for threads here relating to what adhesive is correct. All I've found are posts on de-badging the trucks. Not opposed to anyone doing that, but I sort of like the badges and the bone stock appearance. I luckily didn't lose the tailgate badge, but the others are on their way to falling off, most likely on the highway, never to be found. Does anyone have information on what is the correct adhesive? I have Gorilla glue, but it requires clamping. I was considering Gorilla Super Glue as it would set up quickly. Suggestions are very appreciated! IMGP0004.jpg IMGP0007.jpg

They're ultimately the same thing. That's what I've always used, nobody makes a custom-fit double-sided adhesive for our badges that I'm aware.

If you want, use that link to hit 3M's website and find one that's thinner if you prefer, and weave it in. Else, get one wider, then tape it only to the back of the decal, and trace-cut the excess away with an x-acto knife for a perfect fit. Then take it to the truck, peel off the backing, and put it on.

3M makes some of the best badge adhesive out there. Just be careful buying on scAmazon/fleaBay, "3M" gets tossed on everything and there's ample knockoffs to be had.

PS - if they put the badge in the correct place when it got painted, be sure to mark the spot, then clean and poish if needed, then alcohol over the application area, then apply.

Absolutely agree regarding the "Jungle Website." I perused the 3M link, the tape is pretty large, 1/2" and 7/8". Or, not large enough to cover the whole badge. Hmm. I'm not too concerned with the paint and was hoping for a simpler solution, like using an aggressive adhesive. I appreciate your suggestion! I may have to go that route. Thanks!

I'm not aware of an adhesive goo that won't run, but ....

    Here, how about this? https://www.3m.com/3M/en_US/p/d/b40065949/

It's 2" wide and minimal thickness.

FWIW, O'reillys is saying they carry it too, so maybe you can find it locally at the LAPS. https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/...pe/c9b4729e478c/3m-emblem-adhesive/mmm0/08069
