Fox are sweet for sure. You have the insight. Everyone wants to buy your kings at a deal. They are overkill for what you do. They are still awesome. It makes no sense to downgrade them unless you don't like the ride.

@alb1k is right. you have one of the most proper suspension setups out there. changing them for something else will cost time/money/effort just to go to a lower end setup? doesn't make sense. enjoy your baller tundra.

Got some goodie’s yesterday. Now to freshen these things up. Jason @ king shocks was really helpful in answering my questions and getting these parts sent out rather quickly. CF06CE3A-D4E2-4D4E-9641-B31F1F36E4B9.jpg

I run them on my 2017 and love them so far.

I have them set just about as low as they can go as far as lift height, and they ride great. We just got back from a weekend away that included several hundred miles of pavement, lots of dirt trails with go fast stuff and crawling and I came away very impressed with them.

Sweet man! Glad someone else has some experience with them. What made you choose these over the 2.5’s? What size tire are you running?

315/70/17s BFG Ko2s on rock warrior wheels.

I chose the 3.0s for increased cooling capacity and hopefully longevity.

From a pure performance standpoint, 2.5s with a set of bypasses has the potential to work better, but I got lucky and found a set of 3.0s in stock so I pulled the trigger, and they bolted in.

I really wanted to keep the RW wheels, and wasn’t sure bypasses and extra hoops would clear them without spacers.

Like anything else, it’s all a series of compromises.

you would've needed the spacers for C/O & bypass

I see seals but no shims. Your shocks should be nowhere near ready for a rebuild unless you're gonna play with shims and re-valve 'em. Also, I don't see any oil. With only 5k I doubt the oil needs to be changed but if you're in there???
Usually you can loosen the fitting just enough to adjust the hose. You should only lose a miniscule amount of oil. Since the system is pressurized no air will enter. You might need to check the N2 but that shouldn't change much either. I'd save the seals and rebuild later but that's just me.

Didn’t think y’all wanted to see the 2 gallons of oil so I left them out of the picture. Whoever installed the front coil overs didn’t clock the reservoir lines correctly and they rubbed against the spring and UCA. So I thought if I will be replacing both front lines, might as well replace the seals.

Sweet set up and you got a steal on that! I would just flip the resi's around if its rubbing. Looks like you have plenty of Resi hose.

C'mon man! Pics of oil are the best. ;)
Yeah, if you're replacing the hose then you'll need to purge the air which, as far as I know, requires disassembling the shock. Are you rebuilding yourself?

It’s up in the air. I don’t want the truck to be down to long and was quoted 48hr turnaround from a shop in the Bay Area. I’ve never rebuilt shocks before but there’s a first for everything right? I have access to a rack so pulling them out won’t be an issue, but tying up a rack for a few days will be. We will see. I will post pictures of the process when it happens.

And good spring packs, to boot. That truck is about as set as you can get for MT.
