Weird, those pictures are linking to some bizarre ass website. If you didn't intentionally link those images, you may want to check if you have any weird browser extensions (adware/malware) in your browser.

Anyway, looks good. If that's on FBM, PM me a link. The "no holds" shit bothers me considering I'm a little over 2.5 hours away, but I may want someone to bounce the seller my info so we can start talking. It's $100-150 higher than I was hunting but it is technically paint matched so if it's in killer shape, I may be willing to deal with it. Horrible timing though, surgery is 7 days from now and I'm trying to close up a shedload of stuff at work right now in preparation for being out 3wks.

I think he went about it all wrong and could have won some smaller amount of money if he had just claimed the compensation was unfair and he was too young to consent. But he tried to throw shade and the Nirvana team pulled copious photos of him re-enacting the cover for money haha. There went his so called pain and suffering. The Nirvana tattoo probably didn't help either

For "no holds" stuff I usually send seller a picture of the cash/cashier's check/whatever I'm paying with send Waze updates as I'm leaving and along the way. (I actually did this for my 1GT since it was about 3.5 hours away but I knew that I was buying it unless it was totally fucked.) Makes negotiating when you get there kind of hard ("lemme just scratch a zero off this cashier's check"), but if it's something you know you want unless it's totally fucked, it has worked for me. Idk, shifterson, that looks like a decent one (other than that one deep scratch under the forward part of the rack on driver's side) and I'd hate to pass it up with it being so "close" to you.

Also, keep us up to date on the surgery as it gets closer so we can all send good vibes/prayers/sacrifices your way against your wishes.

Not sure if y'all are Bring A Trailer users... but I am. I really enjoy watching the online auctions, especially since I have a lot of experience with certain cars that sell often and I can share advice or knowledge when it's needed. Our 1st gens finally got our own category on BaT instead of just "Toyota Truck", so they're no longer grouped in with all the Tacomas and later Tundras. It's pretty incredible to see what some of these trucks are selling for.

Check out the graph of recent sales:
    upload_2023-9-20_10-0-19.png

Not to hop on the "legendary status" bandwagon, but this is really crazy to me. I mean, this 2WD SR5 with very few options sold for $18,500, even though the seller was pretty lazy (for BaT standards).
    upload_2023-9-20_10-4-49.png

And '05s and '06s are easily selling for $25k+, with some selling for more than $35-40k. Anyone else think this is nuts?? I mean hey, if it's what's making the value of my truck go up, I'm all for it.

I mean, it is lower mile and in pretty solid shape, so I'm guessing that's got something to do with the premium pricing.

Working with McGeorge Toyota to confirm suspension part numbers for the RAV4. The LBJ bolt part number they gave me doesn't work for my vin according to their website.

Their response "The site is run by a third-party and does not always catch fitment. We use Toyota's catalog, which they do not allow to be posted online, to provide the factory-correct part numbers."

They really don't make this easy. I guess you can't even trust the website to be accurate.

Oh and @bmf4069 and @The Black Mamba

About that Supra ... I meant to ask about it, it was in the exact same spot last time I was in. I'm assuming it belongs to someone in the shop. Their shop had 12-14 bays, and in the first two bays was the Supra on one side, and the head wrench's T4R that was in a minor asphalt fender-bender. Clearly the Supra is soup'd up, and it'd been sitting there a while based on all the dust on it.

I remember seeing one of those 90's twin turbo Supras brand new on the showroom floor. The sales people wouldn't even let me drive it but I think it was $50-60K at the time which was quite a bit of money.

We have a 27 bay shop. Each master tech has 2 bays but most of them just keep their drift cars there. 1 has a 2JZ 325i(if you can believe that), 1 a Chasser, 1 a Silvia and the other a 240

So it’s funny you say that because I have 2 naturally aspirated 2JZ engines in the shop that belong to nothing. Anything is possible.

I put the low mileage in the kbb and listed as good condition from a dealer. They want $10k for that $7k car. If it was $8k I'd think about it then get mad when it sold.
