I’ve got a 2023 Tundra SR 4X4 CREWMAX with a hitch installed from the factory, but it didn’t come with a 2” receiver! Anyone know a link where I can buy one or have a pic of one you’ve installed? Strangely enough, looks like it is wired for trailers. I have a plug n play 7 pin plug coming tomorrow and a tester ready to see if it’s already wired. Just need some help here. I don’t want to buy a whole receiver when I can hopefully find just the receiver part that bolts on.
    Thanks!

Mine was exactly the same. I ordered the Curt hitch. What you have stays where it is and the new hitch bolts right along side of it. It wasn’t simple but wasn’t really that hard. Need two sets of hands or a good jack could work to hold it up there.

Cool, thanks for the info and pic! Good luck with the wiring!

Hey guys I’m in the same boat with an SR trying to install a Curt hitch. I’ve got it up there with the middle bolts in place on both sides but the son of a bitch is so wedged in there I can’t get it to budge to align with the other two bolts. Any tips?

Maybe try two bolts closest to front of truck so you can jack it up like a lever effect or use a rubber hammer to pound/bow the brackets out a little. Last resort-sander/grinder on the inside of brackets.

That is what I did yesterday. Just attached the forward two bolts loosely and using a jack to pivot it up into place for the remaining two sets of attachment. Bit of a pisser as the truck side attachments for the bumper will spring out when you loosen and swap the bolt orientation making sliding the Curt hitch into place snug.

Ok, sounds good! So, I need to look out for the side attachments to spring out when I install mine. Any luck on wiring? Like the module behind rear passenger seat? Did you have to do that?

No towing converter relay for me so I am going to have to source that. Installed the 3ea relays and the 7way jack connector on the bumper. Had battery, ground and tail power but nothing for L/R tail light that comes off the towing converter if it was installed.

Ok. Mind if I ask which 3 relays? We’re two of them little blue ones? I think I had one of the 3 already installed. I just want to make sure. I believe all I had when I put the 7 plug on was brake lights.

Attached is a picture I jacked from another thread here. Circled are the three relay locations needing to be filled. The sub battery is a different type than the other two.

I just checked. Mine does not have the battery sub relay. Do you have any pics of your after install? Or part number?
    Thanks

I do not have the Toyota part number off hand. I used a standard 40 amp 4 pin relay I had laying around and it works fine.

Similar can be had on Amazon.
