Finally got the ok for a Supercharger

I debadged. All that matters is that you like it.

With that said I think it looks fine.

 

Momma ordered them....it's one of those things that makes her part of the process something I never thought she would do although she did say it sounded wimpy when we first bought the truck......got the exhaust on it a few weeks later. Three years later she says go ahead and get the Supercharger...... I think I might just have to KEEP her.

 

I see someone read the "What about my body?" book for boys when they handed it out in 5th grade.

Not my jam, like @Saltyhero13 I run naked, but I fully understand wanting everyone to know. What is even cooler is the fact your wife got it for you. Awesome she loves/supports and takes part in your hobbies.

 

Just another update...I am scheduled for October 2 for the install should be done by the 6th hope the new 77.5 comes in before the October 2

 

I sometimes wish mine was obviously supercharged, since no one ever wants to race a stock looking Tundra

 

Funny how that works. What good is a “sleeper” without any challengers?

Got a tracking number for the SCOL/ Magnuson airbox, hope it gets here before October 2....no word on the 77.5 pulley yet

 

I got a notice on my airbox lid too. I think the 77.5's are going to be a while...it sounded like they were gathering interest to see if they should make them a week ago.

 

Magnuson airbox arrived today...no eta on the 77.5 pulley so guess we will just do the 80 first. Looks like a 4am wake up for my Monday install ....it's finally getting done , can't wait...will keep you updated.

You'll love it. Just towed from OR to ID and into UT the last few days, I'm not sure why I didn't do it years ago!

 

Got a call from the insurance agent today, have an appointment for Monday the 9th to see what is damaged. I will be picking up the truck on Friday the 6th with the Supercharger installed, then off to the body shop

 

did you get any pictures or updates on the install yet? Access to your google drive folder where they upload everything?

 

This is my primary reason for getting the Supercharger was to aid in towing since we are planning a Alaska trip soon.

 

All I have is the initial check in photos nothing from today but hope to see some tomorrow...I'll keep you posted

 

I'm finding out they are somewhat lax in their delivery of updates and pictures. I have asked Tim on several occasions for cost estimates to install the PSB-1 gauge and the catch can with no response , I am shure they will overcharge but we will see.

 

New Update......I had to call Again to make shure the Friday pick up was still good, Suprise,Supreme, we won't be able to make that deadline....the tuners wife had a baby....WTF......THIS IS THE SCHEDULE THAT THEY SET UP! I am also finding out that the technician that is installing the Supercharger was on vacation when I was told to have it there Monday morning at 8.30am so it sat there all day Monday....so I guess I'm just venting but Anyone thinking about using them just know Communication is not very strong, they also promise updates and pictures haven't seen those either. I can only hope the install is leaps and bounds better than what I have experienced so far. On a positive note the 77.5 arrived today. What a week.

 

Don’t worry, just stay positive about it and look forward to the end result! In their defense you can’t plan the birth of a baby, and the dudes working there are entitled to some vacation. Then again, easy for me to say as I am used to dropping my truck off at my mechanics place, being told it will take 5 days, and end up taking 14 (he works on it on the side from his dealer job). That said it’s worth it in the end to have someone I trust to do the work properly and at a fair price. I’m sure you will be pleased when it’s all said and done!

 

Damn I’m sorry you have had such a bad experience so far. I was literally there in August and it went pretty damn smooth. In and out in 2.5 days no hiccups or any set backs. My pictures did arrive a week late too.

Did you drop your truck off and head back home?

Maybe it went smooth because I told them I was staying in town and absolutely had to be out of there by Wednesday at the latest. Bummer to hear it’s not going well. Hopefully they take 10% off or something.
