So I was talking to a guy at work this afternoon and reminiscing on some things. It’s funny how time flies.
My FGT is the first vehicle that I have ever financed. I took this truck to college. I met my wife in this truck. We went on our honeymoon in this truck. We brought our children home from the hospital in this truck. We had numerous vacations in the truck. She been as far North as College Park, Maryland, as far south as Miami, Florida, as far east as Morehead City, NC and as far West as Ft Worth, Texas. She’s not just a truck. She’s a member of the family!

Yes. Sides look okay. Faded clearcoat and flaking paint on the hood and roof

 

Are the top of the fenders and top of the doors OK?

For the roof, is the clearcoat fail limited to the space between the luggage rack provisions, or is it the entire roof?

 

Tops of fenders and tops of doors are good and yes, the roof is just between the luggage rack strips. I will sand these areas and repaint.

 

Method shipped via FedEx. Anyone wanna put wagers on whether or not (A) they actually arrive on Monday or (B) all four arrive at the same time or (C) all arrive intact, with no damage?

Oh hell yeah, you're getting off easy! Most people have failure in the areas I mentioned, and it really calls for a repaint of essentially the top-half of the truck, which ultimately translates to the whole truck.

 

(C) is ultimately what I care about the most, honestly.

Anyone heard of locked offroad? Or ever seen anyone use em? Seems like some cheap adjustable dual rate coilovers. Whats the shock length needed at full compression? am i barking up the wrong tree?

I got to drive in the dark the other morning my headlights and guages dim pretty bad if I turn it up to max. Also, my headlights are complete crap.

 

Our OEM headlight setup is straight ass, something I need to address as well. Time to do the alternator and wiring upgrade, would imagine you need it with the bumps you have. Any Idea how many times it's been changed? I'm guessing this will be #3.

 

I still like my sylvania ultra douche bulbs. But its only been 4 months.

Well, I have about 1% front brake on the bike. Reservoir is full. Reservoir cap is kinda wet. I made it to grills house.

If you can squeeze its a hose, if its like squeezing a brick its the MC.

unless you have abs or traction control to calm the lady parts. & i'd bet it helps to know an electrician.

 

Light control rheostat. Had to replace mine last week. $240 new from Toyota or $60 from eBay or maybe cheaper at a salvage yard.
