@bobbilly, Thank you so much. I'm a little irritated that the dealership hasn't really been honest with me. Could you check the status for my VIN again? If it can no longer be tracked, is there any way to figure out the permanent VIN besides going through my dealer? Thanks!!!

No, shipping times and delays I don't have a good answer for you.

In my experience yes, rail delays, staffing issues, truck delays/issues. All of it has seem to taken a toll on shipping/transport.

Asked dealer for permanent vin and he gave me same as what you’ve imputed ,, is it because it’s a Canadian truck ?? Says delivery by Oct 15 ,, thanks again

Thanks again man. Funny enough, my dealer was telling me it hadn’t gotten on the rail even though it looks like it did last week. Wonder how they get their info.

Any idea how they plan the rail routing? It going from Texas to Nebraska before Colorado seems out of the way but I’m sure there’s a reason for it.

Toyota use UP to transport (based on the location of the destination) so the main yard for UP is in North Platte, NE. This route is UP’s best interest for regular scheduled services. If they use BN, it may come from the south & faster, maybe. I'm with you. My car was built on 8/24 and was spotted in north platter today and is en route to Colorado. Hopefully, I'll get mine this Thursday/Friday.

 

Sweet. Did your dealer tell you to expect it so soon? Mine has a pretty broad delivery date so wasn’t sure when I need to start cleaning my Tacoma for trade in. Would love it if I got it this week.

 

My EST was pushed back from 9/3-16 to 9/21-30. But my salesman told me I can expect my car late this week. So, my interpretation is sometime after Thursday. From your ETA, you can start cleaning it tomorrow.
