I have the Tufskinz liners but it's difficult to clean up any accidental spills if you used the adhesive to secure them in place. If you don't use the adhesive, then they fall out whenever you lift the lid.

Hello, my nickname is Midge. I just purchased my 2023 Toyota Tundra 1794 Edition. Loving it. I joined to get some ideas. I am going to get emblem inserts for front/tailgate and mud flaps. I would like a tonneau cover. Can you get one that doesn't interfere with all of the cameras. I am loving (Blue), My tundra's name. Sounds great, drives great, very smooth ride, and has plenty of power. Thank you.

I used the MX4 cover and I liked it, but I had issues with fit and metal shards on both of them (the first and the replacement). When folded up against the bed, the rear view camera is not blocked, but the camera to see in the bed is blocked. I switched to the revolver hard roll up and so far I love it. Looks like a hard cover one piece, fits great, and rolls up out of the way with no issues of blocking cameras.

Welcome. You've come to the right place to look for ideas. There are also plenty of posts on tonneau covers to search through. If you don't want to interfere with the cameras it sounds like a rolling cover will be the way to go.

Just use the small Velcro squares to secure the liners in place. You can get them at any big box.

Started the install of the sPod BantomX 8 Button switch that goes in the in overhead panel in place of the sunglasses holder. got as far as running the wire with a cat5 connector on it through the firewall grommet and now I'm waiting to convince myself of the best way to get a square peg through a smaller round rubber hole.

You already know the answer - cut and re-terminate that (lousy looking) Cat5 cable in the engine bay.
Better yet (after looking at it closer), replace it with a shielded plenum rated Cat5/6 all together, for both ease of installation and 'better/safer' performance.
Who strips a Cat5 cable only to put that stupid flex/mesh sleeve on it...and expect the end user to run this with ease through firewalls, rubber grommets, etc?

    Side note:
$900+ for a switch panel? Damn......

I was thinking the same. Had to rerun my search a couple of times to make sure I wasn'tissing something.
@KiloOps - looking forward to seeing pics of your project when it's complete. Heck, I'd like to see how it looks now!

Yes, I was starting to settle on cutting and reterminating the cat5 in the engine bay, only issue is now confirming the pin configuration, I'm guessing it's a straight through but I've seen weirder things.

As for the $1,000 switch, it's going to be running about $4,000 in lights at this stage so what's another G?

I'm still waiting on the CBI front bumper before all the lighting can be installed but I wanted to get the switch system in place and the A-piller lights running while I wait for the bumper to show sometime in mid-october.

Going to be running all Baja Designs lights with a 30" OnX6 Straight Dual Control LED Light Bar in the center of the bumper, XL80 Dual Driving/Spot in fog light position 1 and Amber S2 SAE fog lights in the outer position. On the SDHQ A-pillar mounts will be another set of XL80's with Spot only lenses. Those lights alone require 4 switches because the OnX6 light bar has one switch for Amber and one for Clear.

Once I get my Leitner rack installed there will be 4 additional Baja Designs S1's for side and rear work lighting. Will also be installing a roof rack as some point with another light bar.

Pics below of the switch panel installed overhead and the lights it will be running to start...

This sounds like a fun project.
Reterminating is easy enough and will be straightforward if your able to manage the wiring for the setup you described. Should be a breeze. You doing the Leitner with the Retrax?

@99ways2die - I hear you on that crazy cheap looking cat5 cable. I wonder if they supplied that for heat reasons? Sure there are cleaner looking cat5 cables out there, but most applications don't include exposure to extreme heat like what you'd find under the hood.

I haven't totally settled on it but I think I will end up with a Decked system for the bed in conjunction with the Leitner. I'm go back and forth about it because I want to keep room in the bed for my generator when camping and I have a 37" spare mounted to the rail on the back of the cab so that will have to go if I add a cover or Decked system. Looking for an alternative way to mount that spare, possibly on top of the Leitner rack or I guess eventually on a roof rack. I'm waiting for someone to design a rear bumper with a removable swing arm for a spare that I like the looks of, that would be ideal for managing it.

i would use a toner or something to pin out the cat5 before assuming it is a normal through cable. There is a good chance it is just 1-1, 2-2, 3-3, exc…

Got the wire through the extra hole in the firewall gasket and finished the wiring of the sPod BantomX controller. Took a whole 30 seconds after I cut the end off the Cat5 and used a little lube (not sure lube was needed). Nice and clean install.

Yep, using an RJ45 rated at IP69 is the best solution! No way is that the proper connector for the application. I'd really question the engineering behind that switch pod controller.

Got the Baja Designs XL80 A-Pillar lights installed today on SDHQ mounts. The lights are bright as hell during the day so looking forward to testing them out at night. Setup with Spot lenses so they should project down the road a good distance. Now I know what I'm going to use to flash people when they drive at me with their brights on. :nuclear:

If you can't find someone local to print it, send me a message and we'll figure something out. I need to find a cheap shipping and packaging option that doesn't cost more than the part...

Installed the Rave pro grille, still need to figure out the wiring portion. I replaced a TRD grille with red lettering if anyone is interested.

Quite a bit of fitting was required to center the camera and fit the radar sensor. I'm glad I already had the oem camera bracket, because theirs had a steeper angle that would require a lot more fitting.

I only broke 2 parts in disassembly, fender flare tab didn't matter much, but I tore off the mounting points for left side of the bumper and had to epoxy it back together.

I ordered black amber marker lights but got amber on the grille. I didn't really care. After it was installed, I went thru all the wiring bits and found an extra set of black lights in a box. I'm kind of glad because I like the amber.

    Lots of stuff!
The light bar looks like it belongs there. Even if it’s isn’t wired up, It fills the hole in the grille. It that light bar very heavy? Does the Rave kit come with some brackets for the light bar that connect to the internal structure behind the grille?

It's solid, guessing about 4 lbs. It has 5 screws to mount into the grille, across 20", so the weight is spread out well. No other brackets.

    Looks great!

I just installed the same TRD Pro grill yesterday however I got a check engine light and a message about the shutters. Did you run into any issues as far as lights coming on?

No issues with check engine lights. I'd double check every plug was replaced. Did you plug in the air damper? (shutters?) The cable is on top, plug under the passenger side bracket, should be easy to check. Plus the two plugs on each side at the top. The radar and camera plugs would be harder to see. I removed the two body color panels as well, which had 2 more sensors.
