    Hey all!

I'm new to the forum even though I've owned my 2019 Tundra TRD Sport 4x4 for four years now lol. I currently have Fox 2.0 suspension all around sitting on 35's (BFG KO2's). I currently tow a dual axle 2016 Keystone Bullet 2070BH (Link and specifications below). My wife and our three children (all under 5) camp about 5 to 10 times a year usually about 1-5 hours away from where we live, though we do have plans to travel cross country in the future. Our plan is to upgrade to something bigger as our boys are growing. My main concern is safe towing and not damaging the truck by pushing it past its limits. I found a 2018 Forest River Wildwood Xlite (33 foot) for sale and fell in love with the floor plan, as it perfectly fits the needs of our family (see link below).

Can any experienced towers please advise if this size travel trailer is safe to tow. I plan on using a WDH and sway control bar. I'd note that we typically carry normal camping gear in the bed of my truck/inside trailer. Any recommendations or pros and cons are welcome. Thanks!

For my trailer I had previously, I was within what this chart said. It was easy to tow and great.

For my current trailer I'm a bit over what it says I should be due to lack of payload. I definitely notice the difference.

This calculator makes it relatively easy to go 'by the numbers' as long as you know all the numbers of your truck.

To me that trailer seems like it would be a bit big for your truck, especially with the modifications to the suspension and larger wheels/tires.

    YMMV

I tow a similar weight trailer but a few feet shorter. Zero issues. I had a 33’ alumalite trailer several years ago that was actually a tad lighter. I had no issues with that either. Assuming you have the 5.7, you won’t be taxing the truck; it’s built to tow. But those 35’s won’t help you much, especially when it comes to the fuel economy department.

These are what the numbers for my truck look like.

What link or website was that you used? I like the plug and play data entry to see what the tallies work out to be.

    Thanks for sharing.

    Respectfully,
