    Went in the gym for about an hour. Good workout...new PR's set...walked outside to my truck after when I noticed a plastic piece near my truck. Wondering where it came from, I go to throw it away when I notice this.

    Looks like some motherfucker tried to break into my truck using a screwdriver or something similar and either gave up or someone walked out on him.

    I'm pissed, but it could've been worse...so can't be too upset.

    Update: i called the police to file a report, after talking with the officers, it turns out someone else got broken into within the same time frame in the same parking lot. They asked me to go back to the gym so the officers there could try to lift a print. Just got back from talking and going through the process. Apparently that particular parking lot gets hit quite a bit

    Very professional guys, handled everything perfectly and was easy to talk to, told me everything I needed to do, etc.

    And yeah, looks like a little bit of bondo and paint, worst case scenario, a new door shell. @GNTundra

    Are you going to file a claim? Any nearby stores have exterior cameras? Does property management contract with a private security company that patrols the area? Pull a calls for service log (PD can do this - public records for the most part) and if there's enough criminal complaints consider taking it to the property management company to show them. Maybe they'll help, or contract out to a private agency.

    Oh it wasn't damaged surprisingly enough, only the sheet metal around it was damaged and the plastic cover.

    Definitely going to file a claim.

    From what I saw and heard from the officers, there's no cameras around there. Just in the front. PD does patrol the area consistently. I was talking to the guys that work at the gym. They're gonna talk to the manager, see what options they have.
    Next time I see him, I'll put in a word or two about the safety of his customers
