This just happened to @208Tyler 's brother in his Tacoma and it rolled. So glad this didn't happen to you.

Did you know the guys that pulled you out or did they just happen to drive by?

    Same length?

I only have room to go one way, and not very far. It's easier to fab a bracket once than it is to spend time dialing in a change.
Not overthinking it. Not thinking at all. Lift the truck? Make a bracket with a center-to-center measure that matches the lift amount and you don't need to touch and theoretically shouldn't need to adjust anything.

Correct, at least in one direction, I have only a couple threads. It may be OK, if I only need to go the other direction, but again ... so much less work just to fab a small piece of steel to raise the hanger.

Great dogs. Our dog Gunner was Malinois mix. He ended up shorter and thicker instead of tall and lean like a pure bred. And he had 6 toes on his back feet. We got him off Craig's list.

Kidney disease took him way too young.

I didn't think it was supposed to be a 1 for 1 adjustment. Meaning if you lift the rear an inch, you don't necessarily have to move the prop valve an inch.

Toytech sells one if you prefer to go that route.

@shifty` you could also go my route and zip tie it down for maximum braking

I would assume if the axle moves an inch away, your bracket should add an inch. Is there a reason you don't think it's the case?

I'd rather make a custom-length bracket, it's easy enough. But for flexibility sake, if I were going to be going more extreme in the future, I'd probably go for the Dobinson's LSPV kit, I like the adjustability of this kit and it's finished nicely, ano'd, good hardware.

Pics? I may be in the same boat as @BuzzLightyear

I'm in a few local FB groups for off-road recovery that are a "pay it forward" sort of deal. Pretty much strangers that are good Samaritans, but love to recover people for fun.

I had to hike away from the truck to get very spotty 4G service to make a post though. Since I had my Satellite phone that can send and receive texts, I posted my number and got a handful of texts offering to come out. That was very handy for coordinating the rescue effort. If I would have rolled or hurt myself, I probably would have hit SOS on my Sat phone to have SAR come.

That's too bad, sorry to hear about that. Malinois are smart dogs for sure -- we've always had German Shepards but this dog is much smarter.

    Might have been that one.

Basically unbolt it from the axle side and zip tie it so the arm is where it would be with weight in the bed.

I bought the shortest bracket I could find online for a Toyota, because I had the same type of rear lift.
Either trail gear or yota masters, maybe... I dunno. But there's several different sizes.

Sambo is back into fighting shape. Clocked 44 mph today, but i dont think my new throttle cable is pulling on the governor spring as much as it used to. Once i get that dialed in i'll compare the 158 jet to a 171 & see if i can eek out a little more before overriding the governor completely.

fuel tank leaks... THAT'S why i quit messing with it last year. I can order a boring one or i can come up with something better.

Need to decide whether it's worthwhile to hold onto these, before I toss this Toytec coilover box. I know the springs are keepers, they've only got 75k. One of the shock bodies has some cracked plastics. Bushings surprisingly have life left in them. I may just toss it all in the attic for the hell of it.

I'm in the minority here but I always toss or recycle parts like that if I can't give them away. If you put those in your attic they will collect dust for a decade or until you move. I can't think of a logical reason to keep those. I offered up my old lower control arms on Meta and some guy in a stepside first gen came to pick them up.
