I need to pay you a visit. I highly recommend using subtractive EQ settings. I honestly don’t mess with any of the preset stuff. On low volume I will bump the sub up a little bit.

 

Did you get audio to the driver side from all RCA cables?

 

I don’t know much about this stuff, still wrestling with mine, but I did just reflash my maestro and saw there was one option that said you must deselect the amp option if you had an aftermarket amp. Don’t know if that helps or not, but I figured it was worth throwing out therw

 

I removed the FrAC harness and wired the front camera into the cigarette lighter power. Works perfect. Gonna run an HDMI cord down to the bottom cluster and button her up

 

Hey all, if any of you would like one of these usb A’s to usb micro let me know. They’re the shortest I could find at 5” but don’t look too bad. Work well if you’re planning on using a firestick for your hdmi plug. I have 4 extra so let me know if you want one and I’ll toss it in the mail for ya.

Any tips would be great. I'm in the same boat and am still trying to get this thing to sound right. I started with the "rock" eq preset because that's what I mainly listen to, and tweaked from there. But its still not quite right. Thanks

To tell you the truth, I can't remember. I tried so many things that it's all meshing together right now. I'll check that tomorrow and see what happens when I swap them around.

 

So had my first test drive with everything.
Truck is doing this weird thing now where if I remote start the truck (Tech12Volts remote starter), when I remove the key the truck doesn’t turn off. My first thought it Im thinking it has something to do with the way I grounded it at the passenger side kick plate??

 

Just trying to figure out if it’s a signal issue or amplifier problem.

 

What is grounded there? Was the remote starter fine before? I have the same remote start and had no issues after install.

From what I can tell, the ground I had there prior to this HU install was for the front camera, along with any factory grounds already in place.

For the HU, from what I can remember I combined the ground for the bypass with the alpine harness and main harness, and ran it to the ground lug at the passenger side kick panel.

 

Update: I drove to work and the truck shut off as normal when i pulled the key. I had the issue when i remote started my truck then had to run back into the house for a few things. Thinking the 15 minute timer on the remote start has something to do with it working normal once I drove to work.

 

Just wondering if this is coincidence.

When you remote start the truck does it shut off when you hit the brake without the key In still?
