I had the same issue. The gap between the bumper arm and corner is normal but the end cap isn't. My solution was 3m double sided trim taped folded until it pushed the trim tight to the end cap. From underneath the bumper you'll find a gap between the trim and bumper. Fold some tape until it pushes together tight. I used the 3m because its pliable and sticky.

Have you taken it in to get fixed yet? I had the same issue. Took to dealership to get fixed, but the internal clips are not holding closed tight.

same issue. literally just noticed two days ago. taking to the body shop today at body shop on a local toyota dealer’s lot/location. is this a warranty repair? the body repair shop on the lot said i would need to go to the dealer that i purchased from, if i want to go through trying to repair under warranty.

I would try and pop it back if you fail then take to dealer. If you don’t need your truck for work.

Same problem. New 2023, 5 miles on it when I drove off lot. Hand washing my truck and the end cap was not attached and was just flopping back and forth. Took to dealer and they said part to secure it was on back order. I guess it will just flop around until the part(s) arrive. Good grief, brand spanking new Tundra.

Dang, Those engineers ALL need to be fired, so many QC and little BS lack attention to details! Toyota USA seems to be all about "Just good Enough" vs great like it used to be.

I was curious and just checked my 6/23 build and driver side has gap at the bottom while passenger side looks OK. Is this something Toyota will be fixing?

My bumper was fixed yesterday. They said the cover attaches via a metal washer to a plastic bracket and they had to put it back on. They think someone may have pulled on it after it left the factory.

    Thanks for the info.

My overall gaps from side to side look fairly even, despite the +/- 5 mm tolerance Toyota is applying to this measurement that I find excessively high . My issue is the black inner trim piece on the drivers side is not cut flush at the bottom. It looks like it is deformed or cut crooked causing the air gap to appear. It's not a big deal but I think I am going to show it to my dealer when I bring the truck in for something else.

Just like a kid on X mas morning,me and my girl gave it the walk around looked down the side profile for dings and such,I did notice the drivers back bumper thingy of interest was a little miss aligned but we let it slide.
After waiting 3.5 months we couldn't wait to take her home...
When we got it home I ended up man handling it, I had to over compinsate when applying pressure to it,it's still a little off but not to bad,but like mentioned before someone with serious OCD and all of the little things would drive one nuts!
I guess getting older I've been finding myself getting more tolerant of people's mistakes.
The tolerance of 7MM is truly un acceptable, maybe for a "used" vehicle but for something rolling off the production line...
    F ing joke.

Just tried adjusting mine. Couldn’t figure out how to pop the last two notches on top of both sides of the bumper. YouTube showed you have to just break them to get them off. Not doing that. My bumper isn’t super off but it’s outside of the specs. I wasn’t too worried about it when I bought it. Mentioned it and said I’ll make local dealer adjust it so that’s the plan now.

I would rather do it as I did the same for my 3rd gen Tacoma. I actually adjusted the entire bed and then the bumper to the bed for it. This time around the dealer can handle it ha

Dropped my truck off this morning to have the bumper looked at and a few things noted. Before I left the advisor came out and said the techs could not find any tech tip for the rear bumper. He ended up taking a picture of it on my phone while I had it up. Bummer thing is it only shows for 22's and 23's as it came out in March 2023. @ryanwgregg is there a newer tech tip out for this?

As I left I noticed a tech out where all the brand new tundra's were lined up hastily taking pictures of rear bumpers, trim, etc. I immediately knew he was doing that to compare to my truck and to probably show me all of my issues were "normal".. I jumped out of the loaner and looked with him. He said there wasn't a tech tip for the rear bumper and that all are not even. Its "normal" he said. Shocker there.. I told him that there was a tech tip for it and that there are specs that mine does not fall within for it to be considered "normal". The tech also mentioned the rear window weather stripping coming off/popping out at the bottom is normal.. I was like well it isnt and people are getting theirs warrantied on Toyota's dime so....yeah. Mine is not bad at all so mainly wanted it noted. He was just starting to tick me off. Also showed him other Tundras on the lot that that had better bumper gaps than mine. Also showed him one that looked like the rear bumper had been hit and shoved in. It was bad. It was next to one with great gaps and I told him I guess they all aren't the same.. Tech grumbled something about quality control and I was like I'll leave you be.

I imagine I will get a call today saying its all normal and nothing can be done. At least it will be in my history.

I have a 2024 and have had quite a bit of QC issues. Driver’s side window seal replaced 3 times, misaligned tailgate, squeaking armrest/center console, wind noise, missing door seals, etc. But the most frustrating has been the rattling control panels for the windows. Toyota told me that was normal, as all models have play in the window controller bezel. I documented on YouTube. Waiting for Toyota brand engagement to reach back out…

Bummer. Well, hopefully they will still submit the measurements to Toyota like it says to do anyways.

I am not sure if my window switch panels have any play in them or not, but I dont have any noise from them. Then again I only have 150 miles on the truck.

I first noticed mine rattle on the driver’s side when playing music. Then the passenger side started rattling recently just when the truck was idling. Just seems like the truck is starting to rattle apart at 3K miles.

Yeah, I imagine its too early for mine to develop any. Hopefully it stays quiet for some time.

Bumper adjustment was denied. About what I expected. With my help they did find the tech tip for the bumper being out of alignment and mine exceeded the provided measurement's, BUT my truck is a 2024 and the tech tip was for 22's and 23's only. The advisor wants me to call Toyota and open a case for it in hopes they will add 2024's to the list.

However, I am getting a new rear tailgate camera. We noticed mine was off centered and possibly rubbing the handle itself. Not a huge deal as it works fine, but said note it. They got Toyota to approve that apparently. I guess parts for all of that could be to them tomorrow. Will take it in next week though.

This dealer is not who I bought my truck from so I dont expect much from them.

Edit: Getting a new driver seat bottom cover as well. Looks like someone left a small bucket of glue on the seat right under the steering wheel. Only can see the haze in the right light. Tech wrote "cant confirm factory or owner caused. Did find dog hair in truck"... Service advisor was not happy with that note (i wasnt either when he told me) and went to GM before finding me and made the GM look at it. GM said thats not from a dog and had pics sent to Toyota. Toyota came back a few hours later saying to replace.

Trust me, that thing doesn't just pop back in, when in that condition. Interesting tidbit, had it repaired as a hit in run, although now in hindsight, I don't think that was the cause. It then popped out again and body shop who had originally repaired, repaired again. Poorly designed, IMHO.
