When you drive a ram, summer is more than a season. It's an opportunity to get more in before the sun goes down. Make this the summer. You drive the best light duty american pickup

Perhaps thinnest lol and 3k mile changes are the saving grace?

Thinnest so that it gets behind every nook and cranny and every 3k miles to prevent any further dilution.

Any third gen owners getting oil tested by Blackstone? I send mine off after most oil changes.

The most hilarious ad I've seen is the one on Facebook for the Sequoia towing a travel trailer down a dirt road saying Let's go places. You're not going very far with that 22.5 gallon tank.

So it appears fuel dilution is pretty elevated on the new motor? Perhaps it's just not broken in yet? Although sometimes it breaks sooner than breaks in.:monocle:

Not very inspiring, but sample size of one. This was mine at 10k. I just sent my 15k oil off today, will be interested to see how it comes out as I've towed several long trips in the last 5k.

BB, you were always respectful in the pickuptruck.com war room. I remember a few guys giving you lots of grief about your “foreign” or “non-American” truck but you always remained classy! Heath and I talked about that at one of our get togethers in Dallas, you were a great Tundra ambassador!

    I saw that.

I wouldnt be pissed if it was an F150 with an 8501 lb GVWR(Class 2b like an F250) and a 7.3L Godzilla.

Im sure thats what it will actually be, but a man can dream

Either way, I dont think it will be a bad thing in terms of availablity of a heavy half ton. It would be nice to just walk on to a lot and have F200's sitting there instead of having to special order an F150 HDPP.

Unless you get a Super Cab standard box.

My Tundra doesn't fit in my garage already so I'm kind of blase about the whole thing.

5500 lbs and fairly efficient with a softer ride for daily duties while still being stout enough to handle a large bumper pull or small 5th wheel/gooseneck on the weekends with the whole family on board

Doesn't sound any different from an F150 with the HDPP to me.

Exactly except, hopefully, it would actually be available on dealer lots instead of just a special order.and maybe available in more trims.

You guys and your oil analysis reports remind me of my recent blood tests. Damn cholesterol.
The electronics gremlins on these new trucks intimidate me and they are even in the tail lights if the person that assembled your truck did not seal it properly. Computer modules & harnesses live in the tail lights now and communicate with the main computers. If they get corroded with water you could be looking at a big repair.
This guy had a $5600 repair on an F150 Limited.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MUkFsuilVD0

So my truck has never been clean and dry in a garage.
I would put my boat in a garage before my truck. LOL
Well maybe those high pressure car washes are doing more damage.
I thought the pine needles clogging my moon roof drains were a pain in the ass.
Maybe don’t let your F150 Limited tail lights get wet.

Is the story the same for Toyota? What I found out – out of curiosity – 8^0
One tail light for a new Tundra (just the housing) is $515 (SR) to $1100 higher trims.
That tells me that the higher trims have these electronic parts in the tail light.
Oh yeah, he told me the tail light for my 18 Tundra is $200 – just lights inside.

This is crazy on a whole new level. Who asked for this kind of 'feature'? Are the engineers or whoever is in charge so out of touch with reality?

What I found interesting about that situation is when the truck was brought into a dry 100 degree garage. The gremlins disappeared.
Reminds me of - what do you do when your cell phone is wet. You bury it in rice and cross your fingers.
But as soon as the F150 was brought outside again - problems reappeared forcing the repair.
And that guy in the video is a Ford Tech Mechanic much like the Car Care Nut guy that does the Toyota videos.

These trucks really are like rolling cell phones.
And what do a good percentage of the customers of these phones want most.
    The next version !

The latest and greatest (i.e.) pickups GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate vs Ford F150 Limited.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cg8dwxSXqXI&t=3s

They are $100k each in Canada. just saying
Reviewers basically say if you want the best interior, looks, V8 or Diesel - GMC.
If you want the Pro Power and Hybrid the F150. They called the F150 interior (old).
New F150 coming out in 2024 to keep up to date.
The drive seemed to focus on which while driving is quieter (GMC) and feels good in the butt. (GMC)
    Good truck qualities right ?

This video was more value to me

    F150 vs F250
