Nope. Someone in another country supposedly died after eating a C. Reaper, but I scanned back 5 years, up until last month, through Google News and found zero cases of anyone dying other than that dude.

Some news outlets had it factually correct: "Teen dies a short time after one-chip challenge". I've done the challenge. There are warnings galore around it. I'm going to ballpark, since the news has already submitted their guesses as facts, he had an underlying heart condition, or something stupid he did to cope with the pain and/or reacted to the immense heat, is what did him in. Several younger people have landed in hospitals, had paramedics called for them etc. I don't even think non-adults are supposed to be able to get their hands on it, but I don't recall the process.

Definitely worth it for the sticker. No idea where it went. I think one of the kids ran off with it.

Crap, I didn't get a sticker with my coffin box. All that suffering and no sticker? I call foul.

I was surprised, I didn't get much spicey twicey at all from the OCC.

Did you get a dud? That thing is pretty hot. This chip was from last year. Chewy. I think we discussed it.

We did. No dud, it was hot af. But you gotta understand, up until the year I ate it, I was chowing back on some really freaking hardcore stuff, lots of which included reapers. Reaper fruit leather, reaper chili, from pods a friend in KY with an ultrahot farm grows and was selling commercially. The chip was bad. It was hot. But the spicey-twicey stuff doesn't hit me as bad as some other people, except in certain occasions. Hotpot is one of those occasions - anything that's fatty, liquid, and spicy as hell will do it. The oils don't seem to break down as much in my system, and spicy-oil-infused poops are NOT good on my cornhole.

Ceramic. Llumar brand specifically. Go to a shop in their dealer list, preferably a starred shop: https://llumar.com/na/en/find-a-dealer/

I'm assuming they still have lifetime warranty on the product if done by an installer in that list. They make one of the best films on the market, hands-down. It was all our guy at the shop installed, and what I've put in every car since.

Like, say you lived near my family. See how some shops are in red pins? "Select Pro"? Those are the ones you'll want to hit up.

I would not recommend tinting the windshield unless you go very light. It will get really difficult to see at night.

We refused all full-windshield work. Many states have laws on the books permitting only the head strip, top 10% of the windshield (or less), we wouldn't do lower than the rear view mount, that was the gauge most of the local and state PD would use.

the llumar air whatever is supposed to be impressive @ 5% but ceramic. The metallic stuff seems to start at 15%.

I'm all for breaking window tint laws. I've been doing it for 20 years. But when it comes to the windshield it just doesn't make sense. I can't see shit out of my side windows at night(5%). There are times I have to roll them down. Tinting your windshield is flat out dangerous unless you go very light. What's the lightest tint they offer?

Have you ever had to clean tint and its adhesive off a window? I have, I was never allowed to install the tint, but I regularly got to be the mule that cut out the failed and bubbled tint jobs customers would sometimes roll in. You weren't allowed to scratch the windows in the process, but had to get all the glue off. Sometimes it was easy because the film wasn't installed correctly, so ammonia or solvent with brass wool would get it done. With good tint like the Llumar stuff? You're looking at hours of work. It was the main reason the owner at least kept things within the confines of the rules. Truly, the windshield tombstone was illegal, but he knew no cop, state or yokel, would make someone cut it out.

Lumar does no-tint films that offer up similar rejection properties to 15%-20% films.

Blocks UV, reduces glare, etc. You don't need stuff to be dark to avoid heat.

Yeah that makes sense but he said 5%. That's what I have on my windows. 15% is the sweet spot on the side windows.

See video above. Clear, no tint, and it blocks exponentially more heat than the other, much darker.

I wouldn't run any less than 15%. 18%-22% is ideal range IMO.

A guy at my work had 5% tint (95% visibility) on his windshield and he loved how it cut down on incoming glare at night and said most cops don't catch it. His buddy who worked at a shop did it unofficially for him though.

If I did my windshield I think 50% is the lowest I'd go for actual tint. But like shifty said, there is a film that's clear and works just as well.
