Remote Start

I have this fantastic (new to me) 2018 Tundra Limited Pro, that's loaded and I can't figure out if I have Remote Start. I YouTubed it and someone said hit the lock icon on the key fob 3 times, but to no avail. Maybe I don't have it. Any suggestions?

 

If that didn’t work and it didn’t come with an aftermarket key fob, it’s a good bet you don’t have remote start. Not sure if a VIN lookup would tell you if you have remote start as it’s often a dealer installed accessory/ option.

 

I have to press lock twice quickly the press and hold the third time. I have a 2023 limited with push button start.

 

Sounds like you're remote start-less.

If you're looking for one you can install yourself 12 volt solutions has them, with long range remotes now too. I put one in and its great. Took about 30-45 minutes to install.

 

Did you hold the button on the 3rd press? You have to hold it longer than you think. It's close to 5 or 6 seconds before it responds.
