Because she's gonna be all pissy at me for "being an ass" and AK will be fussy, so I'll probably just go do it myself.

 

In defense of Mrs Outbound, my phone only has two volumes for the ringer: quiet enough that I can't hear it when I'm out and loud enough to give everyone in the house a heart attack when I'm home. So I just keep the volume low and check my phone just before I check out at the grocery store to see if Mrs Punishment texted asking me to get anything else.

 

Yeah, that's fair. She won't do that though.

And she's gone back out. Lol. And yep, I'm apparently an ass. And she had forgotte. Hwr phone at home, so there were 25 missed calls.

 

MAKE her go back to the store? What is she, his fucking slave or a child?!

If I’ve learned one thing from the last 30 years with the same woman, it’s that she’s just as irritated by me as I am by her. When I don’t let the little shit like phones get on my nerves, it shows.

 

I don't make her do anything. I request stuff. 9 times out of 10, she has no problem with it.

For the record, she volunteered to go back to the store and did so while waving her phone at me.

 

I do stuff that drives her nuts too. Best thing about our relationship is the communication. We tell each other what's bugging us.

I called her 25 times mainly because after the 10th time I figured she had forgotten her phone so more calls, more funny. When she got home, I explained my concern and how it ticks me off. She called me an ass for blowing her phone up, said she understood, kissed me, told me to "punish" her tonight and left to get garlic.

All's well that ends.well.

haha. Pretty equal at our house, I ask her if she wants to escape the chaos for a brief time. But if she doesn't want to go I prefer trips to the store, another opportunity to fire up the tundra.

 

It amazes me that the human race survived long enough to invent the cell phone and caller ID. People now can't seem to live without either one.

 

Yesterday and today it is Firestone. This requires a little back story... I took my truck to this shop in preparation for bigger tires asked them to look over the alignment and see if there was any wiggle room to push the lower control arms forward away from the cab mount. They put it on the rack and said no and pointed to my lower eccentrics which were maxed out. Then the tech recommended that I get the SPC UCA for more adjustment. This was already on my radar and I was already ready to put down the cash on it if I could not make it work on what I had. So fast forward to yesterday, SPC UCA's are installed and I had eyeballed an alignment in the driveway with a tape measure and a harbor freight angle finder. I took it to Firestone again, same guy at the front desk exact same tech working the alignment rack. I gave them one instruction when I dropped off the truck. I had maxed out the LCA froward to clear the bigger tires, so I told them DO NOT touch the lower eccentric bolts or the tires will rub my body mount. 3 hours later they call tell me to pick up the truck, I don't even think about it and drive off. I get maybe 50 feet out of the parking lot and immediately my steering wheel is 45 deg off center to the left so I pull into the next parking lot to turn around and I can hear and feel my tire hitting the body mount on the passenger side, so I take a look under the truck... Wouldn't you know it the only 4 bolts on the entire truck that they messed with, that's right the lower eccentrics! At that point I knew I was too mad to go back in so I went home cool off. Today I took a closer look at the alignment sheet they handed me, I absolutely nailed my driveway alignment (higher caster than spec but it was what I wanted) other than a tad too much camber on the passenger side and it then took Firestone 3 hours to monkey with the only thing I told them not to touch to make all the numbers go green with zero brain cells to bounce off each other and think about why I might have done what I did (after I already did the hard work and told them about it). AND THEY COULDN'T EVEN GET THE STEERING WHEEL STRAIGHT!!!!

So, in conclusion, today I undid everything they did and put it back where I started, and have forever wrote off letting them touch my truck again

People calling wheels "rims" all the time. If it's not a wire wheel, then it's just a wheel! The "rim" is literally just the lip and the only time the rim would be a visual factor would be on a wire wheel because you can actually see the rim.

Also drives me nuts when people say tires when talking about wheels. NO TUNDRA HAS 17, 18, OR 20 INCH "TIRES!"

I blame the education system, processed foods and over prescribing meds to every child for every sniffle and twitch for the last 30+ yrs. A brain just can't develop properly under those circumstances.
Also, technology, media/entertainment and the absolute absence of consequences for bad behavior and stupidity.
