I don’t get regular meals with kids. Usually miss breakfast and lunch and get rushed through dinner.

That's why they call them empty calories. I just listened to a podcast about what alcohol does to our body. Now I wish I had not listened.

TLDR- it's literally poison for us.

Yeah, but beer tastes great. I don't like booze much anymore. I rarely drink wine. I can't tell you the last time I had a cocktail.

Cigarettes havent even ended it yet. Alcohol was supposed to speed up the process.

I've cut down on boozing quite a bit in the last couple months. I've got a long family history of alcohol abuse and was falling into some bad habits, for years I've been ok with my consumption but when I killed a 24 pack from Friday night to Sunday decided it was time to not have it at home anymore.

I love beer. Hazy IPA's are my jam. Unfortunately even beer is really bad for us. I'm trying to cut back.

Man, it makes me so happy to say that a cig sounds so disgusting now. Took a long time to quit, but I haven't had one in almost 5 years.

Fortunately I quit the hard liquor and wayyyy too many beers 35 + yrs ago and never regretted it. What I will continue to do everyyyy once in awhile is have a ice cold Corona or similar, a bloody mary and a :rasta: if the camp fire is good. Wayyy too many years in my rear view but still want to live forever.

Good luck on cutting back, seriously, you’ll feel better for it

Corona in the bloody mary was always one of my favorites. Basically a michelada.

Yeah it's something I've always been aware of but I've had some weird health things in the last couple years and got to the point I've been using it as a coping device. Which is never a good thing.

I'll probably never stop completely but having a couple out for dinner is a lot different than killing a case on a random weekend.

You can drive them on the street here. As long as you have the basics like brake lights and a horn you can get a plate. See them almost everyday driving around.

Yeah you can do that in TX, too. Most people just ride em in neighborhoods without a though of the legality. My buddy had a RZR 4 seats, 1000cc, Evan Walker (I think) long travel. Dude he would gun it over curbs, ditches, the street, what ever. It was awesome riding in it

My side by side is worth more than any of our 5 cars. My girlfriend drives a 2019 corolla too. Shits ridiculous. I was doing just right until the engine blew up. It's still a fun time and while I don't think I'll quite break even on it I don't think I'll completely loose my ass on it at any point either.

I agree. I need to get back to about 200lb. I've started eating a little better, cut back on the diet cokes, and I'm gonna stop eating fight before bed while drinking. Not quitting drinking though. I enjoy it.

I'd love to! But I don't have the skills for it really. You've seen my town. There's like 1 curved street here. But tonnnnns of looooong, straight, flat road.

Through my credit union. It may be 3 something, I don't remember exactly. I think rates are different for motorcycles.

I'd never ask someone to quit. "Everything in moderation, including moderation sometimes".

There's roughly 800 - 1,000 calories in a 6pk of light beer. The hazy tallboys I drink are probably 200-350 calories per beer. It's what's been keeping me in the 180-189lb range the last several years:
    • I only drink beer after 6-7pm
    • I was drinking 2-3 beers at 200-350cal per beer over 2-3 hours
    • Then going to bed at 10-11pm with the extra 600-1,050 liquid calories in my gut
    • Those calories, on top of what I ate for dinner prior, which was probably another 900-1,200 calories, easy...
It adds up. When this recent health BS forced me to stop drinking beer most evenings, I'm suddenly in the 170s. No extra exercise. No change in what I eat or how much, really.

So I usually start at 4, end at 12. That's usually 14 on Friday. Saturday is 2 to 12, usually 18. Ultra is 95 cal, 2.6g carbs.Thats 1330 cal and 36.4g carbs on Friday, 1710 cal and 46.8g carbs on Saturday. Now the caveat to that is I usually don't eat dinner those nights, but I'll eat after. Sometimes 2 packs of Ramen, sometimes a plate full of nuggies. Saturday is usually leftovers from the Mexican restaurant was always go to.

So yeah, I'm gonna stop eating the drunk munchies right before bed after all that beer. We'll see what happens in 2 weeks or so.
