Thanks! Now I'm trying to decide if the bumpers and grille need to go from chrome to black.... Feels like the truck is just begging for a big black bumper and some bigger tires and wheel spacers, but it also looks pretty dang good as is

I have black work package bumpers, front and rear. If you'd like to swap, I'm all in. It's got some dents and scratches here and there, but y'know what they say!

    Scratches give it character.:D

It was definitely a compromise in length but I use my bed constantly; sliding stuff in and out. I will not extend past the wheelwells.

I approve of these wheels. I'm running the same on my '12.

They can been found in 3 shades of grey.
The darkest (approaching black) are the ones from a TRD Sport.

My first set were one of the 2 lighter shades.

if you can feel the truck bouncing around after hitting bumps, or when you hit bumps its super super rough, the shocks are probably bad

I'd tell you to do the rear shocks yourself, super easy, one hour tops job if you know what you're doing, 2 hours if you aren't good with tools

Spark plugs I would say to let them do it, again, if you know what you're doing, go for it, but don't put junk plugs in, stay with OEM
The labor time on spark plugs is 2 hours, so at our shop we'd charge you $300 for labor alone, so that price is actually pretty good, just make sure they're using quality plugs (Denso or NGK only)

If I hit pothole, it's just a thump, but Theresa no wobble of the arse. Maybe I don't feel much because she's long? It's a DCLB. Really it feels totally normal riding around. I think they're gas filled, so you can't physically 'see' if they're leaking or not:notsure:

About the bumper, It's fine don't worry! I used a sledgehammer to get her straight. You'll love it!

Re: spark plugs, I'd rather go to dealer to replace them or do it myself because that is not something I'd trust a local shop. (Please no offense meant if you work in one.)

Thanks! Plug n play with the original bulbs, I thought they looked great for the price, subtle detail is clear corners instead of orange, I really think that cleans up the look of the truck. And they're actually DOT legal not super sketch ebay stuff. Ordered from extreme terrain, links to everything here Magnet18 2008 DC Build Thread post #3

Nice! I like the 20" rims for sure. I'm definitely keeping an eye out for one of those almost black sets, these lighter ones look good with the current chrome trim but the long term plan is black bumper & trim, and black(er) wheels spaced out a hair. And those dark factory wheels look awesome.

How do those 275/60R20 tires do for you? Any rubbing? I'm on stock size tires now but I need something that fills the wheel well a bit more, either those or the 285/60s

I'm interested if you happen to be nearby in Oregon! As long as the scratches match the same level of scratchiness as the rest of my truck

Replaced the TPM sensors. As far as I can tell, they were original. One was broken but the pieces were not found in the tire. I guess someone broke it last time I got new tires.

Very happy with how they turned out (truck needs a wash, but that’s always the case during camping season)

Plenty of room around 275/60r20s. Not even close to rubbing. You must have really zoomed in to read the sidewall.

I got new strips for the roof today. Their genuine from ebay this time! :spending:

Also planning to bleed brakes again, but on another vehicle. Hopefully it goes better than the last time:frusty:
