I'm always surprised at how popular AC trucks are over there. And it's always loaded. Checkout the camping setup on this one, link to search returning results under the screencap. That would sell absurdly fast over here in ATL. I want that camper shell, no clue what brand it is, but it has all the right accoutrements.

    I like that shell, too!

I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on this guy...even though there's no bed.

No bed is a bonus, learn to weld & cobble up one of those aussie style half & half 'tray's.

Those fenders are not very common on the DCs. Wish mine had that type instead of the big flares that leave holes.

    Buy it and flatbed it.

Got the 1st part of that statement down! It's been a while, but I did a lot of MIG and TIG back in the day.

But really, I just wanted to commend you on that Smoochy image. Never seen a guy get drunk on OJ before...

Any of you guys know roughly how much it costs to rebuild a gutted home stripped down to the studs? Looks like it needs electrical, plumbing, insulation, carpeting and drywall at a minimum.

    !!! COUPON ALERT !!!

UP to $200 off at Summit Racing

FYI, if anyone is looking for parts and it's something Summit Racing carries, I just had to order my AAL and got 10% ($20) off using the following code: SP27KLH. Expires in 48 hours!

YMMV but if you've been waiting to order parts, it may be worthwhile to save you some coin. Basically allowed me to get 2-day shipping for $10 so I'd have it ready for install this weekend.

Well hell, that's actually cheaper also. Like $80 cheaper. Hmmm .... maybe I should cancel w/Summit.

Is that what $400k gets you up there? That's easily a 6 figure remodel job.

Yeah, I kind of figured that. I didn’t know if it would go over $150k though.

Average small starter home is around $550k.

Aside from those crazy shipping rates, I've always been wary of shopping with Wheelers, because I've seen a steady outflow of commentary like this over the last 5-10 years: https://www.4runners.com/threads/warning-do-not-trust-wheelers-offroad.21687/

So much, it's to the point I doubt I'd ever feel comfy ordering from them. They don't seem to be a trustworthy company to spend your dollar with. And the absurd shipping, costing HALF of what the item is on something that's not necessarily bulky or terribly heavy is kinda BS.

Got my variable AC transformer today. Thought it would be drop kicked with a big dent but it looks like it was packed well enough to protect the 8 lb chunk of iron ore.

Drives me crazy that most places won't let you use a UPS account #. You know that shipping is really $30 and the rest is "handling".

Just need that and a pole barn and you’ll have your 2nd home in VA. Just need to drill a well, put in septic and electricity.

All I know is that their AAL has had much better reviews than ICON. I regret spending money on the AAL instead of just saving for new leaf packs. If you leave the overload spring in place you'll at least get some lift unlike me. I've heard it will ride rougher though.

Honestly, I may not even need it.

And the best part about Summit Racing is ... It'll be here before the weekend, and if I find I don't need it, I can drive 30 minutes south on the interstate and drop it off for a full refund, no questions asked.

It looks like Wheelers would expect me to eat another $70 to return it, and I'm out $140 on a product they're advertising for $136. That place is a joke, man.
