It occurred to me after I posted them that those pics are like 15 years apart!

The Hawaii horseback is 2008 (or 9) and the Moab pics were in April.

I will say that for a city feller who rides a stable horse every 5 years or so, it's pretty exciting to be on horseback the first time you see a Bear in the wild! Not to mention when your Horse see it!!

Mama Bear with cubs in Mammoth Lakes, 2018.

Gunsmoke (my trusty steed) definitely perked his ears up when he saw her. I dunno why God would make something that can kill you SOOO dang CUUUUTE!!

So what happened after the bear encounter? That looks like a grizzly in the pics.

Sadly no more Grizzly's in CA... Black Bear.

She stood up while we were walking by but that was it. I think we'd probably have to do something real stupid towards her cubs to make her wanna charge a dozen horses.

I was a little surprised when I asked our guide later if they see them a lot, and he said they see them around the corrals (food source) but that he'd never seen one out on the trail.

You sure it had nothing to do with your political avatar?

You were banned for having a political avatar. Sorry you didn't read the code of conduct. Had you done that and followed some simple rules this wouldn't have happened.

But you're not wrong. We are dicks for enforcing these rules.

You should also do some law enforcement bashing as well. We love that.

I'm actually impressed that OP asked a question about wheels instead of rims.
