I love the look of these (in black). Reminds me of the 3rd Gen wheels. But the 18mm offset has me on the fence. Factory is 60mm, which means these wheels will stick out 1.65” further than factory. Don’t really like the sound of that. Thoughts?

Finally installed the Tyger fender flares. Not a fan of the smooth finish or the stainless bolts, but too busy these days to address them. Was ten minutes late for a birthday party as it was.

But, the install was easy and smooth. My tires are just barely covered, but that is about perfect. Too wide of flares and skinny tires looks silly, IMHO.

Also replaced my rear windows, since the bottom brackets that are glued to them rusted out so badly that the rear driver's window bracket fell off (thank goodness the window didn't break).

Nope. Started at 8.5 and didn’t measure on the dipstick. Ended up adding another qt to get it to register. Did 9qts last oil change.

Just an FYI, after putting the guards on I had a lot of squeaking. After removing the skids and seeing the rub marks on the hardware and guards I trimmed the guards and no more squeaking

Working on a few small projects. Rago dash plate, Bulletpoint MagSafe charger (which required adding a quick-charge USB port), and front cam. Had a pretty good day considering mobility and stamina are WAY down because of a back injury - 3 herniated disks and a compressed nerve root. And feet that are extremely swollen and painful from a combination of an abnormal gait (I have to use a walker to get around) and several medications that cause swelling of the feet and ankles.

Got to the point where I just have to run the wiring for the front cam and button it up. And possibly re-flash the Maestro because the button I programmed for the front cam doesn’t seem to be working. Kind of makes me wish I had gotten the Bluetooth Maestro.

Decided to cut out the stock frame, instead of replacing it with the flimsy one provided. Since this part is discontinued by Toyota, I bought this one off of eBay for $100. Off brand, and it actually works and fits perfect.

Currently waiting on parts. Gas lid randomly fell off, I like the black on tan and it fits the theme of my truck so I ordered a replacement from a black truck lol should be here soon. Also backed into a tree. I’ve been having an existential crisis over getting aftermarket tails or not. I had hiRev on my 21, I’ve seen some of you guys have horror stories with the Morimoto tails, and I cannot get myself to like alpharex’ offerings. There are some stunning ones I saw here but they are $800 - valentis, I can’t get myself to pull the trigger on those though https://valentiusa.com/shop/ultra-led-tail-light-for-tundra/

Check the build link in my signature.
Pulled out the JBL DSP4086 amp today in preparation for my Alpine HU install (going to install it with factory setup first while I figure out my longer term plan). Managed to clip my front camera cable with the wire cutters while cutting off zip ties for the amp power wire.
    :facepalm::annoyed:

So, looks like I'll be rewiring my front camera when I do the radio install...

The +18 offset had me going back and forth, would’ve preferred a +25 but this is close. Been on the fence of going to dirty sevens which this offset would better handle but I was just scared about needing to regear to 5.29s so I held off to 35s for now. I’ve got some BMC plates coming so I can get some of the prep work done for 37s when the time finally comes around.

For anyone that has cat plates on and the TRD front plate. Mine were creaking and popping and making noises when turning and going slow. My 21 Sounded like an old truck with worn out suspension. I was going to wait until the weather cooled off but decided to tackle it today. With all the plates installed, I used a sharpie to Mark the plates overlap. Then I removed all the plates except the TRD plate. I used some rubber roof scraps I had left over and glued them to the plates where they overlap. Any metal to metal now has rubber on it (including where it contracts the frame) I Put all the plates back on, and took it for a test drive, and All the noises are gone. Hopefully it won’t start to squeak now that there’s rubber on it. Stock suspension and sitting flat on the ground made it challenging but it wasn’t impossible. I will be investing in a TRD nut plate to make it easier when I need to take them off and on again.
I hope this helps anyone that has the same issue.

My RCI came with a similar plate, and it makes install so much easier. Highly recommend the TRD nut plate or similar.

I've thought about the step for quite a while, never done it. Do you find the step a good add? It does fit right in, looks good.

3/2 leveling lift kit, pocket style fender flares (best super white color match you'll ever see - painted by my uncle), 1.5" wheel spacers, S&B CAI, TRD Pro headlights, 18" knockoff Ebay TRD Pro Wheels, wildpeak at3w 275/65R18 116t (32/11), gator roll-up tonneau, blacked out interior by AJT and others, pedal commander, blacked out exterior badges, LED everything, RCI neoprene water proof seat covers (removed back middle seat back material to make it work), weather tech floormats, flowmaster flowfx extreme 3.0 exhaust
Did not get to everything. Work in progress. Tires, rims, 3/2 leveling lift kit install this coming Wednesday. Interior trim replacement will take a while.

The LED replacement kit was surprisingly one of my favorite upgrades. Factory cabin lights are not bright enough to find dropped items in the dark, and the license plate lights and rear center brake light clear lights were not bright enough for the backup camera in the dark. Prior to this upgrade I wrongly assumed that the camera was just flip phone resolution. Now the quality is similar to a smart phones.
