There are quite a few multi-Tundra owners on here, I myself am one. Is there anyone who currently owns all of the Tundras? First Gen (Best Gen), a second or 2.5 gen, and a 3rd Gen? How bout all three and a T100? Curious.

Currently own 2. Bought the 2000 in May 2005 with 99k miles on it. Sits at 268k miles now all these years later. Best vehicle I’ve owned hands down. Zero motor or transmission issues. Only wear and tear items and maintenance.

    IMG_4965.jpg

The 2019 I purchased with 42k miles on it in 2021. Sits at 72k miles now, trouble free as well. I absolutely couldn’t bear to part with the 2000. I almost gave it to my son under the strict instructions he was not to sell it or trade it in. When he was done, it comes back to me. But he passed, so I kept her.

I used to own a few 1st Gen's. My first truck though was the T100. I still have it.. and own a 07 Tundra now.. so I love it.

here's a pic of both in 1 pic..

My '05 lives with my dad. I get first right of refusal if he ever wants to sell it. I have a 3rd Gen in my driveway now. I have eyeballed a reg cab 2.5 gen as a bush truck but used prices are still insane.

I only have one 2.5 Gen, and I'm shopping for a second one. I don't have the time or the patience to search for a 1st Gen.

You literally could not give me a 3rd Gen Tundra. Well, technically you could, but I'd have it sold as close to instantly as possible.

I'm considering another Tundra. It would be a pre-2014 2nd gen 6 seater console shift with a Sequoia transfer case swap.

The 2008-2022 Sequoia has a transfer case that is capable of full time 4wd (like a Land Cruiser) and 2hi like a part time 4wd truck.

The fulltime 4wd capability just means that you can run 4wd on pavement with no binding or potential for damage like you would get if you did that with your Tundra. The Sequoia t-case does this by not being locked by default when put into 4wd. It is basically a center torsen diff and comes with a center diff lock (again, like a Land Cruiser) that one may engage if one so chooses. When the center diff is locked, it acts just like a Tundra in 4wd, where equal power is sent to both axles all the time. This is the big no-no on pavement or other high traction situations. The center diff needs to be open (unlocked) to prevent binding when making turns on pavement in 4wd.

The benefits are maneuverability in low range, the ability to leave your vehicle in 4wd for an entire season of snow or rain, extra traction while making turns (such as a boat ramp situation), lower transmission temps if towing on steep inclines whether you’re on pavement or not (just put it in unlocked 4Lo).

A Sequoia t-case, rear limited slip, and front locker would serve me EXTREMELY well in the places I go and things I do with my truck.

I stopped to look at 2012 this past Sunday, mileage unknown, overall looked good , but $16,500 was a bit out of my price range.

Very briefly... Loved my 1st Gen but just couldn't justify (or afford) keeping both. I do miss the old girl.

What kind of bumper do you have on the Big Tree? I don't recognize it.

It was made by Defiant off-road. I had it on my tundra but moved it over to the wife's rig before I sold that. I believe they went out of business almost 10 years ago.

on a side bar note I did upgrade the lighting on her sequoia this weekend. Retrofit LED's. Pretty happy with the outcome. I'll have to grab a few pics tomorrow when the lights come back on.

I figure someone would have to offer me at least $120k CAD for my truck for me to part with it.

Recently added this 2020 SR5 double cab in voodoo blue.

My 2010 has been good to me, so I wanted to have a clean example of a stock gen 2.5.

The gen 3 did away with V8’s and bench seats, so I’ll probably never own a brand new tundra.
